Well, I haven't gotten an e-mail from 'em yet. But I guess I won't give up hope yet either.

I've been staring at their website like that kid in Willy Wonka staring at that chocolate factory..I keep refreshing it...hoping to see that Golden ticket.While I see all those fat and obnoxious kids have bagged the Golden ticket.:)Manny

So in theory everybody who paid should get it. Plus I see the logic in giving it to everybody so they "DON"T" cancel!!I am not ruling out that my email is flaky. It does not happen often but every once in a blue moon I don't get an email for whatever reason. However nothing in my beta archives.My only hope is they are doing it in batches!!

Just a thought... Does you have any spam email filters? If so, perhaps the email got dumped there... - didnt see your post saying spam filters off...Anyway, it was a thought.

Still nothing!!!Well I think thats it folks. If you did not get an email you did not get selected!!Still not amused and very disapointed.....Someone took my $16 and I got nothing. Yeah I was aware of the disclaimer but some get it everyone should get it.I will promply cancel my Fileplanet account and now go hide under a rock!!To be honest I am thinking about retiring from flight sim completely and not supporting it any longer. This is how I feel at the moment!!

I got the email and I am currently downloading. :-jumpy Also I got a second email with my beta key and the email says"Congratulations, Welcome to the Flight Simulator Closed Beta Test!"Notice that it says "CLOSED beta test".So I think this means that you need to be selected. Luckily I was, but then I subscribed to FP and registered for the FSX beta within a few hours of it being announced a month ago. Maybe FP will release another batch of emails soon? Maybe they are trying to prevent too many downloads all at once. Who knows.In anycase... Im happy! :)

I am kind of curious? For those that are getting it did you register the day the message was posted? I waited and hesitated for 2 maybe 3 days after it was posted and confirmed by tdragger as real. So maybe they are doing it in order of registration?I followed the Q&A for the 2142 beta and it indicated they were did one release and then were going to do it again.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say just be patient, give it 24 hours and if you don't get an email then perhaps you didn't get picked. It's quite possible that the beta is open to all subscribers but they could be limiting the number of emails sent out so as to not overload anything. Or they could be handing out emails to those that signed up the first day, then the second day, then the third day ..etc. Or even, they could be sending out emails based on how long you have been with fileplanet. (that one is just a guess).

My advice to everybody who hasn't received an email yet is to relax and wait another day or so.
