Anything new about the Fileplanet beta 2

Featured Replies

>That was an awesome idea, it sucks to download a huge file>just to find it's corrupt.:-mad :( And yet, given the late hour, I'm attempting the whole thing at once. Of course, I've never once had a corrupt file from FP.

40 minutes left on the d'load. Is there a FSX closed beta forum from Microsoft? Or is that info somewhere after the beta is installed. Thanks

Does this version include the blurries?

>Does this version include the blurries?Would it really be flight simulator without them?I'll be ok with blurries. I downloaded the XNA beta today and they didn't manage to get the content pipeline feature done in time for the beta. Now that's a big loss.

>Does this version include the blurries? Not unless your computer includes the suck. But, I'm guessing the bliurries are still there somewhat. lol:(

Don't forget that this a BETA and not a DEMO and i'm pretty sure this beta will have a NDA so I don't think it's a bright idea to give details about the beta and ask about beta forums on a public forum.

Where do we speak about it?

I don't believe I have signed or agreed to anything yet. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

>Don't forget that this a BETA and not a DEMO and i'm pretty>sure this beta will have a NDA so I don't think it's a bright>idea to give details about the beta and ask about beta forums>on a public forum. Don't sweat it son, I've been in countless beta programs over the past 20 years. I'm simply asking if... meh, forget it.

Theres plenty of samples to check out in the meantime...

So has anyone installed and played the beta yet? Does it run better than the demo did? Also I am downloading the four seperate files do I just unzip the, all to the same directory??

Not sure , but that's what I'm doing. The unzip process is, well, no quick process either. :D

I think the beta is the older build (than the demo) that tdragger was talking about. It has the same autogen bugs and water/land detail textures bugs along with the other ones. Basically it runs bad kinda... ;) Edit: I've been playing around with the settings some and I'm having some rather interesting results. Stay tuned.

Just one quick question- can someone who has the beta tell me if Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International has gates?? (The ones that dynamically move and adjust to your planes height when you park?) I sure hope so. It's my home airport. :)

Stay tuned. From Tdraggers site:"We finally decided to release a build that was even newer than the demo but then we had problems with that, too. First the setup program (for DVDs) wasn't working quite right and that took a couple of days to iron out. Now we have to take the DVD setup and convert it to a web download. That's turning out to be tricky because of the sizes involved (9GB). As a result, we're still working on getting a build to fileplanet so the beta can begin. Originally I thought that might happen before last weekend but it didn't."I'm guessing the build that FP finally did get is newer than the demo, but I'm not certain.
