August 24, 200619 yr Hi, I remeber reading somewhere that all airports that have jetways in real life will have them in FSX. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks,Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
August 24, 200619 yr Not true.Only a certain number will be 'featured' airports ( having moving cars, jetways, etc ).
August 24, 200619 yr Hi,I believe it's been stated that about 1200 airports will have jetways in FSX. More than only the detailed airports, but probably fewer than all airports that have them in real life.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
August 25, 200619 yr I think about 1200 have jetways but more should have fuel trucks, baggage carts, etc.

August 25, 200619 yr Many people in FS call them gates - which might be a correct term in some countries - using that word creates confusion with parking spots which are invisible in FS, and may or may not be located by a jetway.
August 25, 200619 yr >I think about 1200 have jetways but more should have fuel>trucks, baggage carts, etc.You are a very dedicated man!Thank you!
August 25, 200619 yr I wonder whether it would be possible or not to adddeletemodify jetways with an editor similar to AFCAD.
August 25, 200619 yr Scenery objects like buildings and jetways are not kept in the same file as the airport data, approaches, etc - which AFCAD or an AFCAD like program reads. They are fairly easy to add after a bit of a learning curve with a scenery design program like SceneGenX. And you should keep them in a separate scenery .bgl file - KSHV-Jetways.bgl ?While it has a learning curve - the AFCAD learning curve is pretty steep also - though I don't know anyone anywhere who writes better help files than Lee.Modification of those scenery .bgl files is not easily done without a very good decompiler.AFCAD is the only program with an integral decompiler type function specifically focused on modification of existing files - of which I'm aware - and the AFCAD decompiler is not very compliant with the FS2004 SDK. Which, to be fair to Lee was released months after AFCAD.With the SDK reportedly included in the deluxe edition - that issue may be avoided with this version.
August 25, 200619 yr BTW - I see a completely new "speciality" developing - AI airport vehicles and routes.
August 25, 200619 yr From screenshots it looks like they have the right height in relation to the different aircraft :-) much better!
August 26, 200619 yr Even ships have routes now. They'll actually 'sail' on a schedule from port to port.MS Ship sim anyone?
