AH Phoenix in P3D V4.4 with PBR textures

Featured Replies

Aeroplane Heaven's bonus model of the 'Phoenix', which is built from the wreckage of the C-82 Packet forced down in the Sahara Desert en route to Benghazi, in the 1965 movie The Flight of the Phoenix. This is AH's first stab at adding PBR textures to a released model and they've done a nice job of it. The Phoenix model in the flight sim actually has a working Coffman starter, complete with a limited supply of cartridges, so you can see if you could get it going like in the climactic scene toward the end of the movie...

Was there a operation manual included that explains the startup procedures? In some situations I noticed that the people on the wing

are sometimes not there and sometimes they are.  Just curious what causes that.
