I assume that you are talking the addon organizer (P4AO)? To get that out of the way, the P4AO does not change anything unless you press the "Save" button on the main dialog. If your scenery order is changing on its own, it is not P4AO doing that. But there are apps that are changing scenery layers without you noticing, for example ORBXs "FTXCentral". Please make sure to always use the latest version of P4AO. Also, you can disable the "Auto-Layer" function on the Scenery page, if that is getting in your way. And please don't use more than one scenery organizing mechanism. There have been many reports that using several scenery related tools at the same time can lead to trouble. Best regards LORBY-SI
December 23, 20187 yr Author Thx for quick replay. Yes I ment P4AO, and yes I do have latest version. You mentioned ORBX changing layers? Do you might know how to disable that option... it's really getting me crazy... :-) Or assuming it is ORBX how can I save and load P4AO saved order ? Thank you !!! FTX Central already changes things when you just open the app, you don't have to install anything. But it allows you to set an "insertion point", and it will always inject ORBX scenery there. Make sure that you don't have other addon software that might do the same thing, like scenery editors, startup tools etc. Best regards LORBY-SI
December 23, 20187 yr Author Now even when I try to re-orgenazie scenery layer with Lorby and press save, it just doesnt do anything... It keeps the scenery order as it wants grrrr.... Any idea ?

So if I understand correctly, you are changing the scenery order, then you press "Save" - and it immediately reverts back to how it was? Did you activate one of the "strict rules" on the "Tools" tab by any chance? Then you wouldn't be allowed to make certain changes anyway. And did you disable the Autolayer feature? Best regards LORBY-SI
December 23, 20187 yr You need to change the settings in ORBX FTX Central insertion point to below your addons then save, then start P3D to configure the new scenery config file exit then go to the Addon Organizer it should now show correct, each time you start FTX central it will check your installed scenery and reshuffle it if you do not set the scenery insertion point. Even with a properly configured Orbx insertion point, opening FTX Central can still change the scenery order. In P3D 4.4, I have a mix of add-on scerneries, some of which use the old-school method of directly making entries in scenery.cfg, and some of which the new preferred method of addon.cfg xml files. I have two add-ons that must be placed at the very top of the scenery system to work properly. The FSElite time zone fixer at the very top, and the three entries for the FSAD updates of default P3D navaid and approach data, which are entries 2, 3 and 4 in the scenery database. Whenever I so much as open FTX Central, those 4 top entries get moved lower in the scenery database. They don’t move down to the FTX insertion point, but they show up in the middle - underneath a cluster of newer addon.cfg entries. These are the only entries that move when using FTX Central. It is easy to put them back at the top where they belong with the Lorby Scenery Organizer, but I have to remember to do that whenever I have used FTX Central. December 23, 20187 yr I don't see how ORBX FTX would affect other addons it has never done on mine, ORBX is just above the base scenery and my addons above ORBX and they stay in the same order even if I open FTX central, it may be the addon itself that moves when use it. Raymond Fry.

Jim, I've had EXACTLY this problem with FTX shuffling my FSAD entries. I wish FSAD would use xml addon method...I notice FTX never seems to touch them. At one point I actually used P4AO to create xml entries for the three FSAD addons...problem is that every time you update FSAD (approx. monthly), FSAD creates new scenery.cfg entries. I thought I was a genius for moving FSAD to .xml, until I noticed I had both xml AND scenery.cfg entries for FSAD after doing a FSAD update - so much for that idea.
