Maybe that rear door is not correctly configured in GSX. Thanks Ray I've applied to register on the FSDT GSX forum - just need to wait for admin approval. Thanks again for your help

The advantage of Gsync over Vsync with a fixed refresh of say 30Hz, is that you get the same non-stuttering smoothness when your fps drops below the monitor refresh rate, where with Vsync, anytime you don't maintain fps at least as high as the refresh rate, your going to get stutters. Any recent Gsync model will work great with fps as low as 1, and as high as the monitor refresh rate. Watch this video to see how Gsync works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkrJU5d2RfA Kind Regards, So does g sync work in terms of eliminating tearing and stutters, throughout the entire range that the monitor supports ? I am considering the Acer 321k 32 inch, which is 4k wirh a max refresh rate of 60 hz. This is ideal for flightsims as it will not over stress the system beyond 60 fps...... but I cannot find any details regarding the range that G sync works. I always believed they worked from 45 to 60, 40 to 60 or 30 to 60, depending on the monitor. I have never heard of one working below 30. Clearly 30 to 60 would be ideal for P3D and X plane as that's where I am 90 percent of the time. But below 30 would be awesome. Also, does G sync work with BOTH XP11 AND P3D... as I know P3D is not exclusive Full Screen. Thnx for any advice. Edited November 18, 20196 yr by Gabe777
November 18, 20196 yr According to the specs the G-sync range of the ASUS PG279Q is 30-165Hz... It will work for both fullscreen and windowed applications, if I am not wrong. As I also have a G-Snyc monitor with a range from 30-144Hz (DELL S2716DG), I completely disabled G-Sync for P3D. It is a pity, but I prefer higher settings over G-Sync and with higher settings, more than 30FPS is not achievable for me...
