It'd be really nice if some sort of community evangelist *cough* tdragger *cough* could update us on the status of pushing the beta out the door.

It has gone a bit quiet on this at the moment. Perhaps "a few days" was maybe a bit optimistic? Anyway, I expect most people are enjoying the demo. Me? I %

I'm loving it a lot as well but seeing how beautiful it is in that region I now want to check out different parts of the globe.

Well hopefully it wasn't a ploy to sign up new users because the sign up link is still up and each user can sign up more then once using a different e-mail address which is odd. I guess we'll know if it was a ploy or *cough* scam *cough* if Fileplanet sends out e-mails saying 'the beta is cancelled but hey enjoy the rest of the site!'.

I just wish somone from ACES would reply...this isn't rocket science...is the beta still going to happen or not? Thats all I want to know.

Mike (tdragger) does mention a public beta on his latest blog post but he doesn't say if it is to come or has come.

This whole thing is starting to make me upset. What is fileplanets idea of a few days?. If I don't hear about this from file planet in the next couple days I will have to get my money back.

i would happily help with the beta and amd dual processor issues if the beta is released.specs:amd x2 5000+radeon x1900xtxcorsair 2x1GB dual channel (6,6 GB/s sisoft sandra 2007)western digital caviar SATA2 2x120GB in raid 0DFI lanparty ut CRX3200 crossfire

There are issues with dual cores? I haven't had any...

Everybody who signed up was warned that they might not get in. However, all the signs seem to point to the public beta not being released yet. I've said elswhere that a few days seems to have been a bit optimistic in hindsight.

Yeah there's a difference between not getting on the beta and not having the beta.

FS X is only using 60% of my dual-core. 100% core 1 and 20% of core 2.

All of the closed betas I've been on at FP have a specific code you have to enter in to register online. Trying to register on multiple computers at different times would probably not be a good idea.Their betas (that I have been on) aren't like "leaked" betas somebody puts up on a Torrent where everybody just dl's installs and plays.

What's all that about? I just went in via the front page when it was there.

THose are for open betas they release to the community. The past 2 or 3 closed betas I have had required a "key" be entered in.
