January 22, 20197 yr Hello ! I dont know if Im in the right place for this, but ill try. I haven´t been playing flightsim for a long time, but i want to start up again, this time with P3d. My question is: This is my Pc specs: - Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5 GHz (I want to overclock to around 4GHz. ) - Motherboard: ASUS Z97-DELUXE, Socket-1150 - Ballistix Sport DDR3 16GB, 2x8GB 1600MHz - MSI GeForce GTX 780 Gaming 3GB PhysX, x2 - Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 240GB 2.5" - Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" Is this good enough to get 20+ FPS with 737ng and for example Global openLC Europe, Active sky and some airports? Any upgrades i should do? I know its maybe a difficult question to answer but i hope you got some answers :) Tnx!
January 22, 20197 yr Moderator Yes, depending on how you adjust your settings. The video card is marginal but should work. Getting to at least 4ghz on the cpu is just about mandatory. Disabling shadows, HDR lighting and watching your texture resolution should get you what you want. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
January 23, 20197 yr Author Thank you Vic! I might want to upgrade my graphic card. What graphic card should i go for? I have a good budget. MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Duke OC? - Ruben
January 23, 20197 yr For half the price you can get a GTX 1080ti and only lose about 10% of the benefits over a RTX 2080ti. I've owned both and stayed with the 1080ti. If money is no object - than go with the 2080.
January 23, 20197 yr Author Ok thank you ! :) I see that the 1080ti is almost the same price as 2080 as i can find ! How about the 1060 6gb ? That is a very large drop i price. I have a good budget, but of course i want to save where i can 😉 How big jump can i expect in FPS with a new graphic card as 2080 and 1060 6gb? Thank you so much for all the answers! I dont know enough about this, sorry !
January 23, 20197 yr Check this link... https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-780-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1080-Ti/2164vs3918 There are refurbished 1080TIs that are selling for around $650US - also can check our EBay of course.

January 23, 20197 yr Just my two cents worth (in CDN $), I just went from a gtx 1060 6gb to a gtx 1070ti and notice a marked improvement in overall smoothness. The 1070 has 8 gb of vram which seems to make a dirfference. Brian
