The latest drivers are 419.35, run ok on my sim also includes security software update.

I installed 419.35 on Sunday. I've had 2 flights end after TOD with my computer frozen and a very loud tractor engine sounding noise blasting out of my speakers. Solid lockup. No events logged. I ran on whichever version I had previously for several months with no issues and I don't even know which version it was. Rats!

Your going to have to use the latest drivers when you install your new GPU you are waiting for blocking driver updates for that not a good idea.

I don't block them, but I did miss a couple of versions. If I had just looked in this thread, I would have known which version I had before.

Oddly enough, after the driver update I had those 2 crashes but no more after that.  

And you are 100% correct. I will absolutely be on the latest drivers when the 2080ti arrives tomorrow.

Nvidia has had to release a security update for there software.
