February 22, 20197 yr I am having another problem with my new GNS 750/650 gauges that I'm unsure how to fix. Sometimes I am able to access the gauges for aircraft where I've modified panel.cfg, but then the second or third time I try to access one of the gauges I get the following error message and the gauge popup will not appear. I found this exchange with a Google search: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/162529-reality-xp-warning-a-monitor-program-has-been-found-running-in-your-system/ In it, RXP says, "This message is due to the use of system monitor and this is expected: this is our software protection doing its job." My guess is that this means it's meant to protect the software against unlicensed use, but I have a license. What's wrong in this case? Gil Yoder Gil Yoder about.me/gyoder
February 22, 20197 yr I think you must be running process explorer or some similar software. I used to use it occasionally when battling the OOM's. Haven't used it since moving to P3D... Check that you're not running procexp64 Richard Chafey i7-8700K @4.8GHz - 32Gb @3200 - ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero - EVGA RTX3090 - 3840x2160 Res - KBSim Gunfighter - Thrustmaster Warthog dual throttles - Crosswind V3 pedals MSFS 2020, DCS

I have used procmon.exe today, but I don't think it was running when I got these errors. Running a test right now without procmon.exe running just to be sure.... No, the error still appears without procmon.exe running. And to be sure I just checked with task manager to be sure that procmon.exe wasn't running in the background. It's not. Thanks for the reply though. It could be a clue toward a resolution. Gil Yoder about.me/gyoder
February 22, 20197 yr Hi, this means the software has detected there is a background process running which most likely is 'debugging' the simulator. This could be a 3rd party program running on your system which is 'inspecting' the programs a little too much (virus, debuggers, process tools etc...) or a 3rd party module/gauge which is doing similar things. Procmon is certainly one of these, so are similar other apps.

Thanks for the explanation. After rebooting the computer I was able to load up the plane with the new gauge installed. Hopefully, it was just procmon.exe after all and it won't bother me again. I was also trying to fight off some malware yesterday, so that might have caused a problem with the product too. As long as it doesn't hinder my flight time, all is well. 😉 Gil Yoder about.me/gyoder

By the way, sticking around here on Avsim will cost you some flight time, but will also enhance your flying.
