Will the shadows on the external airframe be visible fr...

Hi!Will the shadows on the external airframe be visible from inside the VC? For example, shadow on the wing from the fuselage? I really hope so... That would be the coolest thing... /MH

Unless the parts of the plane you see from within the VC are bitmaps (and they're not) there would be absolutely no reason except performance to NOT render the shadows on the fuselage.

Yeah, let's hope so... :) I read in the other thread that shadows inside the VC will not be rendered, so that got me wondering if the same applied to external shadows viewed from inside the VC... /MH

Unless you're planning to bust out a window and stick your head outside the a/c, just how do you expect to see whether any part of the exterior is "shadowed?" :-hmmm Furthermore, the model you see from "inside the VC" is not the same model that you see in Spot View, so that also makes it very unlikely that the modeler would take the time and effort to include the needed texture mapping to enable 'self-shadowing' in the interior (VC) model.

In my experience I haven't had to bust out a window and stick my head outside to look at the wings, but hey - maybe you have... ;-)
