Just the real sounds of a noisy airport. Nothing more. Since things like the traffic view board and others have been implemented for FS9 by very clever people much smarter than me, lets hope someone can figure out how to "hack" into the control tower and let the us be able to monitor the AI at a busy airport with something similar (radar scope would be sweet, I'm still not too old to use the word sweet :))Brian S.

I'd be willing to bet that the "Tower" is just another 2d panel and virtual cockpit... that should take about six minutes to clone and convert to a "user selectable 'aircraft'..." :)

Yeah, execpt that we thought of that and coded a check that prevents the tower from showing up.

>I wonder if you can you the "Tower" feature to just monitor>an airport with the radar etc., while NOT in multiplayer? In>other words, to do a little planespotting when we get the AI>up to snuff in FSX. >>As far as monitoring AI Traffic and planespotting you can do that in FS2004 right now with the 'Mobile Control Tower Version 2004' by Ronald R. Cachemaille. It's pretty popular and has been download many thousands of times. It may be possible that this could be installed into FSX as is when it's released, or perhaps Mr. Cachemaille would be willing to update it for FSX if needed. At any rate, I've used it a number of times just for the purpose of monitoring and planespotting AI Traffic and I think it's quite nice. You can move the MCT to anywhere on the airfield you please, hence the word 'Mobile', and I think it does a fairly decent job of giving you the feeling of being in an ATC Tower as far as MSFS goes. Check it out if you like by downloading it at 'the other site'. In case you don't know what I mean by that it's www.flightsim.comYou have to download two files both posted on 07-02-2004...Filenames:rcmct641.ziprcmct642.zipCheers and hope that helps,OneTinSoldier

Can you unthink it before it's too late? :)Brian S.

Please enable tower in view mode :-beerchug

>Hey for those of you who can't get this video to work>properly simply open Windows Media Player, choose File then>Open URL then paste the following link:>>mms://70.85.182.98/airsidetv/fs10feature.wmv>>Worked beautifully. I tried to make this video work with my WMPlayer10, but it just didn't work. I even reconfigured the mms settings, but the player always says something like "network error".Can anybody help with this problem? Or is there a downloadable version of the videoThanks very muchAlex from Germany
