June 22, 200619 yr I don't think anyone's answered at this point because the question's been asked and responded to in the forum--do a forum search on "Dual Core" and I believe you'll find out some answers.-John

June 27, 200619 yr It should allow for beter peformance as there will be fibers distributed between the cores (or multiple CPU's if you went that route)Fibers are user mode thread equavalents, and apparantley FSX is more 'threaded' this time. Multiple cores and lots of video memeory will make for a better expereince. Now in theory, differing parts of the graphics engine can be split to 2 cpus, AI runs on a fiber, flight modelling etc. Then Windows allocates those fibers to a core resulting in beter overall performance.Bring it on! :)
