Moon is gone at night - but it's there in dusk and dawn

Hello,
I use V4.4 and have problems with the Moon.
Moon Phase is active.

In Dusk and Dawn I can see the Moon (or parts of it - of course)
But when it's night - nothing. No Moon - only Stars.

And of course, I looked to a mooncalender! should be at 4,5% - it's ok in the sim, but only at dusk and dawn.

The moon should be the same, in Dusk, Dawn and Night?

Any idea?

I use Tomatoshade, ENVTEX, Active Sky and Rex Skyforce.

Thanks
Urmel

Have you tried different times and dates?  The moon phases and rise/set times are accurate in the sim.  Right now you will see a crescent to the west after sunset.  Try setting the date to April 14th at 10:00pm...you should see the moon almost overhead.

If you are using real date and time in the sim, the moon will set in the west shortly after sunset if it is tracking the real phase and position (as of today, 07 April),  so you would not see it at night. Wait a few more days and it should be visible in the sim night sky.

Thanks. I had it in the evening in the west and now its gone (Flight YSSY - SCEL).

I think I had to learn more about the sky and the moon, with this new feature in P3D.

What new feature in P3D are you referring to?

then Moon Phase, P3D4.4

I think the Moon Phase feature is only for ambient lighting put off from the moon, not the problem you were originally posting about. The moon has always has the correct phase simulated in the sky depending on time and date going back to FS9 or before.

I don't know. The Moon Phase Feature was injected with v4.4. That's all I know. You can turn it off. Something to do with lighting. Seems to be correct, JRBarrett answered it correctly.
