April 13, 20197 yr I've had this happen quite a few times while SimServer is still running in the background after a FS session. I try to access the Internet and get "page cannot be reached" for every page. As soon as I close SimServer the pages will load perfectly. Is this a known issue? Mike

Mike Hi Mike, I don't have an explanation how this could happen. Yes, SimServer does create a webserver but it listens on specific ports not utilized by typical internet applications. What's your setup like? Are you connected to a router directly via cable or wifi? Do you use a proxy? It's the first time I read this and the underlying architecture hasn't changed since the initial launch in 2015 so I'm baffled. Mark Foti Author of aviaworx - https://www.aviaworx.com
April 14, 20197 yr Author Yeah I was pretty confused about it too. It doesn't happen every time, just very occasionally which is really odd. If it's not a known problem I'll try and dig a bit deeper next time it happens. It's possible it's an interaction with a VPN client or Wireshark or some other dev software I have loaded.
April 14, 20197 yr Happens here too if i run it and its sitting idle. for some time Janet Virtual Airline MSFS2020 / XPlane i9-9900K, 1070Ti, 32GB Ram, Honeycomb Alpha
May 22, 20197 yr I just open a topic about this without realizing people are having my same issue. Otniel B. Ocampo
May 22, 20197 yr I haven't open the specified ports for SimServer to talk free that might help I will try it out and report Otniel B. Ocampo

May 27, 20197 yr Ok so it seem like the internet issue doesn't happen when Prepar3D v4 is running. I used the software for 3 Hours and just sat at the airport doing other stuff with VPilot also active so I would know exactly when connection was drop, but it never happened. I might do a longer test but it seems pretty convincing to me. Otniel B. Ocampo

Same actually happens when i leave the ProjectFLY client running too, oddly enough. Janet Virtual Airline MSFS2020 / XPlane i9-9900K, 1070Ti, 32GB Ram, Honeycomb Alpha
June 8, 20196 yr Same problem here... I have to add that since a few days, connection with simserver is lost and unable to reconnect (keep trying, but to no avail...). Only after generating a new QR-code and make a new connection, is solves but only for a few hours. I have 2 iPads connected for the 2 CDU's on the B747, sometimes only one is working.
