  1. I got a response from Dave in which he explain that I can still use and hear the chatter from other aircraft being directed by ATC. An possible issue I see is that in some instances you will need to have the Aircraft traffic setting as high as 75% to have AI aircraft park at the gate. I have not yet pushed the limits of P3Dv3 but the concept is really alluring. Also he explained that ATIS / AWOS are not created by P2E so the regular SIM stations will need to be used. I Know VoxATC does recognize ATIS but not stations Labeled as AWOS. I did some scenery changes at KTCY because of the same reason.!!!
  2. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I can't hear the ATIS when tuned. On the Configuration Page Under the Voices Tab I assigned all voices to respective controllers but the ATIS is not on that list. What i'm doing wrong? Thanks!!!
  3. The problem persist when the button is clicked without the Flight Simulator being On!!!
  4. This is a long shot but I started experiencing CTD's after I decided to switch on BIOS the hyperthreading ON. Over clock the CPU and then CTD galore. I'm waiting to get the latest release of P3Dv3 to do a clean install see if that fixes it I have P3Dv3.3.5
  5. I just upgraded to P3Dv3.3.5 and I have to say the new performance is bar non the best I had With your product. Now here us the issue I encounter. While taxing or Flying for that matter if I Dial back or forward the Master Brightness knob the FPS drop from say 27 or 30 to somewhere between 13-15 then if I stop dialing the knob then the frames goes back to normal. Is that something you guys there at PMDG can look into. Thanks!!! Other than that I'm loving this bird even more now that I can actually use it with high frame rate!!
  6. Mr. Martin @ DTG. I found this topic online and I just loved all I read, first I did my homework and read all your replies to the various questions presented to you. I have no questions my self they all have been answered. I have been into Flight Simulation Since FS98 (Not sure if that is FS7,8 or 9) and I as many simmers have spend enormous amounts of money in hardware and software to fuel our passion for flying. I'm very exited about the product that DTG is producing, seems like a new beginning to something wonderful. I'm ready and my wallet too, make me a great Flight Simulation Platform and I'll give my support to DTG financial greatness. Then again I will Purchase P3Dv4 when it comes out but I really feel happy about what you guys are doing there at DTG for our simmer community. Thanks!!!
  7. Vonmar I'm back online and I was able to test the new Gauge that PMDG provided and I'm happy with the results...That is no CTD so I'll resume my flying with this new gauge and call it good. Thanks for all your assistance in this matter. Happy Flying!!!
  8. For someone to be able to help you more information is needed. Like Operating System FSX Version Also if UAC (windows 7) is active or not. Also if Antivirus was on or off. and if FSX runs as admin or not. In all the more info you provide the better.
  9. Vonmar. I got a response from PMDG and the file also, unfortunatelly I won't be able to test it for a while since I'm in the middle of moving so my computer is down for about 2 weeks. In regard to sharing the Gauge they said that you will need to open a ticket for them to send it to you. I imagine it would be that way but I did not loose anything with trying. So perhaps you will be able to try it before I do. Also you can wait until I try it and see if it doesn't sends my FSX setup up in smoke!!! Just kidding I think everything will be just fine, PMDG know what they are doing. So thats the news. Otniel B. Ocampo
  10. Vonmar said "I assume after you have tested i?" Elementary my dear Vonmar, Elemantary!!! LOL Otniel B. Ocampo
  11. Ok Vonmar I'm not a pilot and SID's and STAR's are new things to me. I rely on Vox ATC for my navigation Instructions. This software does give you a SID but it doesn't give you the STAR until you are getting close to the transition, and then asings a STAR. As I said this procedures are a new thing to me I don't know how to asing the one that Vox ATC will give me. I think from now on as a general practice I will load a STAR at the Gate and if Vox ATC change it then I will change accordingly. I know that most of the time the transition will not change. When I get the file from PMGD I will mark this topic as Solved. Otniel B Ocampo
  12. I know that loading a STAR while on the gate doesn't make sense and there is no point to it. I have never done such thing until now only to test the CDU. My situation was different. While I was heading to KSJC I took too long to input the STAR and by the time I finish I was already heading on the wrong direction, about 40min SW of the first waypoint for the STAR. So I as a horrible pilot I'm I panic and start wildly editing the legs in the CDU to adjusted to my current course, and thats where I "erase" the Flight Plan from the CDU and got to find the CTD. I have to learn not to panic!!! As an update from PMDG they told me tha, they are aware of the situation and that there is an updated .dll gauge that is being worked on. Ryan at PMDG was going to send me the file so I could test if the issue is fix. And also said that PMDG JS41 GDU and QW Bae 146 CDU were made bu the same person. My problem is that I have G-Mail and they do not allow .dll, .exe, .ocx, or any executable. So I ask him to send the file as .bak or .zzz and I would rename it in my end. I also ask permision to share it with you, since you have been helping me in this. I'll keep you posted on any development. Thanks, Otniel. B Ocampo
  13. Thanks Vonmar I'll follow up with PMDG, mean while I'm happy that we could get to the bottom of this and who knows perhaps help another Simmer while at it. Happy Flying
  14. Ok Vomar then now how do I go about telling PMDG to revise their code for the CDU? Do you know? Because I like very much the addon but this (I think ) have to be fixed.
  15. You are correct when I refer to approach I mean inputing a STAR on the FMC, and yes I was at the tarmac in KSJC and with a Blank FMC I did input the STAR for BRINY1 when I hit the "Select" Option I Loaded the Approach legs without issue. I hate to go off Topic by mentioning another vendor but it was something I did consider of interest. I still not clear if you got the CTD with the instructions provided. And also I want to be clear that I have been refering to the flight computer as FMC but is actually called the CDU? Thanks again for your help on this.
  16. Now that I realized how the CTD happens in this particular Addon I will able to avoided, that is until PMDG revise their code. I did made a test with another vendor addon the QW Bae 146 and this one has the same FMC. I was able to do the inputing of the approach with no issues. Great product never the less. I very much like the engine management aspect of it. Thanks. Vonmar.
  17. ***I just realized that I don't even need to be airborne to get the CTD. Just by loading the approach in the tarmac does it...We might be into something here.
  18. Ok New development...I was able to avoid the CTD and Replicate the CTD at will. I explain how I did it so you might see if its a general problem or my set up is some what messed up. Ok so I discovered that If I input a Leg before loading the Approach then there is no problem. If I load the approach by itself then It CTD. Example1 with CTD 1) @ FMC Load a departure(any departure) 2) Take off and turn Autopilot to fly the departure 3) While in the air @ FMC Select the "Erase"( that will clear all legs from the FMC flight plan) 4) @ FMC go to "Arrive" and choose an approach (for the airport you just took off from) 5) As soon as you hit the "Select" then it should CTD Example2 without CTD Follow steps 1 to 3 **As an extra note I just realized that I don't even have to fly to get the CTD...Just by input the approach in the tarmac will give me the CTD..We might be into something here. 4) @ FMC input any leg you choose first ( Could be a VOR or a Waypoint) 5) Then @ FMC go to "Arrive" and choose your approach. I know CTD FSX in purpose is not good but I need to find if it's a isolated issue or if PMDG needs to look into the code. Thanks.
  19. I was able to replicate the issue but I'm having trouble getting the video up. I'll keep working on it.
  20. Sorry for not answering promptly but i'm at work. I will try to follow what I did the other day to see if the CTD happens this time I will try to get a video. Some more info: Windows 7 64bit ( Patched with Automatiocore.dll file) I flew from KSLC to KSJC on the flight plan the BRINY1 Transition start @ MUSTANG (FMG) so I Pass mustang and just follow the normal FSX flight plan which took me on a southwest path. That is because I had not erased some legs in the FMC that were not part of the approach but part of the normal flight plan. One I realized that I erased the whole flight plan from the FMC and then procede to load the approach from within the FMC, that is I input the airport selected the Approach Briny1 and transition with the rw30L. And as soon as it loaded all the waypoints is then when it CTD.. Again I will re-flight the aproach only I don't believe i have to fly the whole KSLC to KSJC again to reproduce the issue. I might just have a problem with my setup...some time ago the aircraft would CTD when activating the GPU....I solved that by re-installing the aircraft. Thanks.
  21. I loaded my approach in to the FMC "Briny1" but i had already gone pass the initial waypoint for that aproach. So I erased the whole flight Plan and then input the Approach part only. That resulted in FSX Crashing To Desktop(CTD). Thanks For Your Reply. The issue is not about procedure the issue is about why did it Crashed FSX when I did it.
  22. So here is the deal! I took a flight from KSLC to KSJC, before take off I loaded all the departure legs and took off without issue, then about 70nm from my destination I missed my aproach, so I Erase the flight plan from the FMC to load new legs (at this point the Autopilot is being controled by heading). As soon as I finished loading the aproach BRITNY1 into the FMC then FSX CTD. The error I don't have it but it showed that it was related to the JS41. Any ideas? Thanks.
  23. I know this might seem like bitting a dead horse but I asure you my issue is different. Ok some info to narrow down the problem: 1) Windows 7 Pro 64bit 2) Onbard sound card and Logitech USB Headset 3) Windows Sound Devices set as: Default Device = Onboard Sound Card Default Comunication Device = USB Headset 4) FSX Sound Options set as: Sounds = Onboard Sound Device(Speakers) Voice = USB Headset(Speakers) Here is the issue....When I play free flight everything works great VOXATC plays voice on headset and I get the engine sounds etc. from the Computer Speakers the issue is when I go Online. For some reason I can figure out the players communications always plays on the Default Device. I test this by making the USB headset the default device. By doing that the sounds on FSX still play on the Computer Speakers and the multiplayer communications now play properly on the headset. Now you might ask what is my problem? well the problem is that with the setup just mentioned FSX will work great but all my programs like Itunes, Windows Media Player, Internet explorer etc. will play on the headset. I just don't think that's the way it should work. But for some reason I don't know FSX likes to process Multiplayer communication through the Default Device only. Any help would be apreciated Thanks.
