Reverse thrust

Featured Replies

Will we finally be able to use our throttles for reverse thrust, like real life, or will we still have to use the F2 key?CH

Hi, you can use your Throttle for reverse already with FSUIPC. If you have the CH-Yoke Pro for example you can set the mixture or prop axis for reverse thrust.Jan-Paul

Speaking of FSUIPC, does anyone know whether FSX will work with the extant FSUIPC design or whether a new version will need to be tooled before any external programs can at least basically interface with FSX, ala the FS2002->FS2004 experience?Gary

HOPEFULLY NOT! Developers need to learn to manipulate/read FS memory by themselves and not rely on 3rd party solutions which cause your system to slow down. This will obviously only happen for most developers if Microsoft makes some simple exported functions available from FS inherently. I suspect we will still have to rely on 2 pieces of software though due to familiarity even if FS adds EASIER outside manipulation.Carmine http://forums.avsim.net/images/wave.gifhttp://img155.imageshack.us/img155/7118/phoenixtp8mg.jpg

>Will we finally be able to use our throttles for reverse>thrust, like real life, or will we still have to use the F2>key?>Folks,you have to learn how to phrase you questions.;-) If you ask those 'two way' questions the answer you'll get from Mike is "Yes.":-hmmm CheersThomas

I think it would be nice if MS worked with Mr. Dowson to include FSUIPC's functions by default. As his tool is indespensible now anyway....

If you use the X52 (and the X45 I think) it is already possible. It has 2 intermediate dents and you can set it up to use reverse when the throttles are below the lower dent.
