May 6, 20197 yr I think I've reported these issues in an earlier thread. 1.8 didn't fix. Still needs fixed: Before taxi: FS2crew calls out to set flaps/slats. FO does not set flaps or slats, I have to do it manually. Not a big deal, but is the FO supposed to? After takeoff: FS2crew calls out to retract flaps. FO does not retract flaps. I have to manually FS2crew calls out to retrace slats. FO does not retract slats. The next to-do is 'climb check'. If I retract the slats manually before climb check, the FO will deploy slats when 'climb check' is initiated by fs2crew. If I don't retract slats manually, and 'climb check' is initiated, slats are left out. I have to wait until climb check is completed, then retract slats manually. On arrival - FO manages flaps/slats as intended. May 7, 20197 yr Commercial Member Hi Brian, If your flaps/slats aren't moving when commanded, it means your hardware is overriding the flaps signal sent by FS2Crew. Check your hardware. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
May 12, 20197 yr Author The issue is only on departure. On arrival, the FO controls flaps/slats as intended. I don't have any hardware that would prevent FS2crew from commanding the flaps/slats Brian Horvath Asus Tuf z790-Plus i9 13900k Asus Strix RTX3080ti @ 4k/30hz Corsair h100i gSkill Trident Z DDR4 3200 32g (8g x4) Asus VG289 4k Display (#1) Viewsonic 1080p Display (#2) Samsung Evo 990 m.2 NVMe 1T (WIn),Samsung 980 m.2 NVMe 2Tb (p3d & Addons) 500g / 2 500g SSD Corsair TX750 Logitech Z5500 Lenovo W540 (ASv4 / Aivlasoft EFB v2), Win 1809 Pro
May 12, 20197 yr Commercial Member Are you sure you're following the manual to the letter? Are the hydraulics on? B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
May 12, 20197 yr Author yes, following procedures. I'm able to deploy the flaps & slats, but on departure, I have to press F7, the FO won't do it. If it was a hydraulics issue, they wouldn't deploy at all. Same as if there was a hardware issue, the FO wouldn't be able to deploy on approach, but it works as intended only then. May 13, 20197 yr Commercial Member Are you using voice or button control? FO will position the flaps during the After Start check. Are you running that checklist in full? B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
May 16, 20197 yr Author Button control. This is what I'm saying - the FO calls out to set flaps/slats during after start check, and even says it's been done, but the setting isn't made. I have to set them manually. Same thing happens after takeoff, I can go through the after takeoff flow, and the FO calls out to retract flaps/slats, but it's not done. I should also mention that if I retract slats myself BEFORE 'climb check' is done, the slats will deploy (very weird), I have to wait until the climb check list is complete to manually retract slats. I do run the full checklist. May 16, 20197 yr Commercial Member Are you 1000 percent positive you have no hardware or buttons assigned to the flap axis? No one else is reporting this... so this is all I can think of. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
May 27, 20197 yr Byork, This has been an ongoing issue for alot of users since 1.7, 1.6 was working fine. I currently have FS2Crew disabled now for the Maddog which is a real shame, would like a fix as this has been ongoing for awhile. I am happy to invite FS2Crew tech members for a private shared screen display of what is happening. Send me a PM of this is something of interest? Regards Lonz
May 28, 20197 yr Commercial Member Hi Lonz, Send me a Support Ticket via: www.fs2crew.com You can show me via a Remote Desktop. And confirm you're using the very latest version of the Maddog aircraft... they're always updating it. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
May 28, 20197 yr I have just tried the latest FS2Crew build with my fresh new install of P3D v4.5 (HF1) and it all seems to work as it should. The FO selects the correct flaps during the after start checks (I've tried both the standard settings of 11 and 15 as well as a dial-a-flap setting of 8). After take off I command "flaps up" and the FO carries out the actions fine. I only run the voice control, so can't check the button option.
May 28, 20197 yr Commercial Member Lonz, Further to Neil's comments above, please ensure you have the very latest version of the Maddog aircraft installed. Leonardo is always updating it. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
May 28, 20197 yr Hi Byork, My Maddog and FS2Crew are up-to-date, I will send you a ticket shortly. Regards Lonz
May 28, 20197 yr Author I as well, have the latest Maddog build and 1.8 of fs2crew. The FO action items for flaps/slats during pre-flight is still a problem Brian Horvath Asus Tuf z790-Plus i9 13900k Asus Strix RTX3080ti @ 4k/30hz Corsair h100i gSkill Trident Z DDR4 3200 32g (8g x4) Asus VG289 4k Display (#1) Viewsonic 1080p Display (#2) Samsung Evo 990 m.2 NVMe 1T (WIn),Samsung 980 m.2 NVMe 2Tb (p3d & Addons) 500g / 2 500g SSD Corsair TX750 Logitech Z5500 Lenovo W540 (ASv4 / Aivlasoft EFB v2), Win 1809 Pro
