Parking spots for Orbx scenery

Featured Replies

Hi

i am trying to add parking spots with ADE to NAS North Island (KNZY). This is not a detailed Orbx airfield but does come within the San Diego add in.

when I look at the APT file in global vector using ADE all I can see is a single green line - ie not a full ‘AFCAD map’?

All I want to do is add some military parking for AI.

any advice welcome please

Hello,

I was able to open the file KNZY_V2_ADEX_ADE.bgl with ADE 1.70 and the "full AFCAD" is there.

Vector isn't a place to be opening or editing files with ADE. You want to work within the KSAN add-on or the FTX SCA scenery folder. It works quite well, I've got 60+ AI Sikorsky Seahawks plus many other varied Military AI at North Island etc thanks to MAIW's Matrix.

Sorry for the necropost on this, but I figured I'd ask my question here. Maybe it will help others if the info is in the original thread.

How did you end you layering this? Did you simply disable the ORBX ADE and place the MAIW one above it, or did you do something special? My FTX insertion point is right above the default scenery, so whatever came with MAIW should already be on top of FTX already, but I'm seeing one helicopter.

KSAN is at layer 190. MAIW starts at 209. Looking at the MAIW folder, it doesn't look like there is a MAIW AFCAD, and it also looks like they don't have a traffic package for it.

Let me have a look, it's been a while since I've checked it out and I've also moved off of P3d V4 entirely and haven't completed the full setup to v5. From what I remember it was pretty easy, I only have one ade for any given airport so layering is never an issue.

I'm using an ADE made by Allen Laughmiller available here in the library knzy-nas_north_island_v1_1.zip . It works fine in any version of P3d (V5 you'll probably need to import the stock data). The Seahawks are from a package in the MAIW library for North Island.
