Just received e mail for Pacsim store, that RKSI is released, and the link takes you to PayPal, but look before you leap, as the price is 8999 USD. They still have the place holder in place.

That is weird. I didn't get any email and in their webstore it is very clear that RKSI is not released.

I hope this scenery isn't going to be overpriced. $35 for Reno? Really?

PacSim prices have always been in the $35-$37 range. If the price is too high than don’t buy it or wait for a sale. Who are we to say what a developer should charge? We have no idea what amount of work went into creating the scenery. Just because FB or FSDT sale for a certain price which is only a few dollars less doesn’t mean all scenery developers should charge that amount.

You may want to check your account. PacSim has never sent out emails like that and the site has never changed. He also doesn’t use place holder amounts. Sounds like you were sent a trolling email.

Until AVSIM implements a rule that states we can’t talk about payware pricing, you’re going to have trouble shutting that conversation down. 

I have just browsed to the official pacsim website and they have Incheon RKSI poised to go at $00.00. It also looks as if they do use payloadz.

I'm not trying to shut the conversation down. I'm merely contributing to the conversation you started. Its a two way discussion. You have your point of view and I have mine. One developer has their price point and another has theirs.

It's still fishy that he received an email like that. Sort of like when you get those official ones from your bank just to find out it's a fishing email trying to obtain your information. Always good to be cautious. Especially since this is not PacSims normal method of doing business. He does all his advertising and announcements on his FB page these days.  

They posted on facebook last weekend that the scenery is complete but not yet released.  I believe it said this week.

They said the scenery is complete and ready for release. It seems to me that the last 3 days at least they are working on the installer/webshop etc.

That's what I'm thinking. I figure any day now. It would be great for the long US weekend. I downloaded a few Korean Airline liveries for when it's released.
