July 13, 20196 yr Hey Bryan, I am having trouble with the item: FLEX XX or TOGA (including the V Speeds). How am I supposed to read it? V speeds then Flex or Flex then V speeds? Neither FLEX or TOGA seem to work as triggers. Cheers Nizar Thabti VATSIM Germany - RG Frankfurt My AI paints: ntflight.tk
July 13, 20196 yr Manual says it: "V1, XXX, VR, XXX, V2, XXX FLEX XX degrees." Flex (or TOGA) is the trigger. If that isn't working, I'd recommend training your speech rec. When I flew it right out of the box, there was a lot of challenge with it understanding me, so i did the 15 minute speech training thing during cruise and it works wonders (ironically, this was also stated in the manual to do first lol).

I did the training. Is there really a need to train it more? Adding the word "degrees" is news to me. Maybe that will do the trick. Also, the manual says the pitch trim should be in percent. 0.6 DN for instance is not in percent, is it? Also, the manual says the pitch trim should be in percent. 0.6 DN for instance is not in percent, is it? 0.6 down is not percent. Airbus wants you to read the percentage. You can see it on the trim wheel to avoid a possible screw up between confusing Down with Up. There was an Airbus incident related to this which is why they want us to use percent. So the trigger phrase is "XXXXX Percent". Remember, if you forget or get stuck, just say "SET AND CHECKED". For the Before takeoff checklist, there are two possible triggers to advance: TOGA... which I wrote in the speech grammar as "TOW GA". Ensure that's said clearly and distinctly. Don't blend it in with the previous V1, VR stuff. If using Flex, the trigger phrase the system is looking for is: "FLEX TEMP XX DEGREES". Again, ensure it's spoken sparely from the V1, VR stuff so the speech system can pick it up easily. Don't combine the V1 VR numbers. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
July 14, 20196 yr I tried many many times with TOGA, but there is no way the system recognizes that word 😂 James Goggi
July 14, 20196 yr Commercial Member Hi James, You're from Italy, right? Try "tow ga" with your best American accent 🙂 Or manually add "tow ga" to your speech dictionary via methods that have been described before. Or just say "Set and Checked". B.
