February 15, 200620 yr <>If it's Seattle then it will only be animated from 10am to 3pm and 7pm to 6am. As real as it gets. :(
February 15, 200620 yr Thanks for the new shots!! The detail on the beaver model in the 2nd shot is really nice, great job!! Love the water in the 3rd one!!Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International Best, Michael KDFW
February 15, 200620 yr On the first, those mountains are VERY nice for default FS. The detail in the second shot is amazing; look at those cables, the padle, and other "fiddly-bits", and on the third, not just the water, although that is awesome, but the sky! Nice and dark, it just looks sweet! And I love the rivets and seams on the wing. But the sky is what catches my eye in that one! Very nice! Thanks FS for the updates!-Jeremy Burchhttp://home.earthlink.net/~dawgfighter/sit...es/swvasig1.gifSWVA4806 http://www.virtualswa.com/home.phpThe Ozark Dogfighter http://forums.avsim.net/images/wedge.gifHappy Flying!BOAC: Heathrow Centre, British Airways Speedbird Flight 723HC: British Airways Speedbird Flight 723, Heathrow Centre, go aheadBOAC: Heathrow Centre, British Airways Speedbird Flight 723 has a message for youHC: British Airways Speedbird Flight 723, Heathrow Centre is ready to copy messageBOAC: Heathrow Centre, British Airways Speedbird Flight 723, message is as follows: Mayday, Mayday, Mayday ....

February 15, 200620 yr Hey Marco, I have no idea. I found it on a pilot humor site somewhere. I used to put some pilot humor tidbits in my sig, I think I'll keep it up. :)Glad you like it!-Jeremy Burchhttp://home.earthlink.net/~dawgfighter/sit...es/swvasig1.gifSWVA4806 http://www.virtualswa.com/home.phpThe Ozark Dogfighter http://forums.avsim.net/images/wedge.gifHappy Flying!BOAC: Heathrow Centre, British Airways Speedbird Flight 723HC: British Airways Speedbird Flight 723, Heathrow Centre, go aheadBOAC: Heathrow Centre, British Airways Speedbird Flight 723 has a message for youHC: British Airways Speedbird Flight 723, Heathrow Centre is ready to copy messageBOAC: Heathrow Centre, British Airways Speedbird Flight 723, message is as follows: Mayday, Mayday, Mayday ....
February 15, 200620 yr Can't wait to see what the traffic headlights and red taillights look like at night too! Will they be able to stop at junctions, overtake and park etc? Will we see random vehicles reversing out of driveways on their way to work in the morning? Not sure how difficult traffic systems are to design in software but we've all used Midtown Madness right? Traffic lights, junctions, pedestrians.Hey do you guys know what a roundabout is in the US?We've got loads of em here in the UK.
February 15, 200620 yr >Will we see random vehicles reversing out of driveways on>their way to work in the morning? No.>Hey do you guys know what a roundabout is in the US?>>We've got loads of em here in the UK.Take a look at this shot from Washington D.C....http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=Wa...69,0.006813&t=k:)(but no where near as many as in the UK...)
February 15, 200620 yr Jason,Reversing out of driveways was a bit over the top admittedly! :-)Its quite interesting though to try and figure out how you guys have implemented the new traffic and how it'll react, or not react?Nevertheless, what a fantastic immersive feeling we're all going to get when on finals flying over a busy freeway. Really cannot wait. Thanks again so much to you and tdragger for interacting with these forums and livening up this community. The FSX forum is literally on fire!Nels
February 15, 200620 yr OMFG OMFGLook at the water in the screenshot and also the dark sky OMGMS KEEP ON ROCKING !!!
February 15, 200620 yr Let me first say that these are great shots! Considering this product is still many months from shipping, I feel pretty optimistic about how what I'm seeing. I'm guessing it will only look better as we go.I have one question though... where's the Anti-Aliasing? I mean, if it were me, I would want to show off the absolute best rendered version of my product that I could, which means I'd crank up the hardware features as high as possible. Most (all?) of the screenies that have been put out do not appear to be using AA (evidenced by the jaggies).I've noticed a lot of gaming companies do this, and wondered if it's for a technical reason, or if it is just a matter of the devs being in a hurry and just snapping off some shots while they are playing/testing, as opposed to taking the time to compose the shots by pumping up the rendering settings and such?Just curious... I'd love to see what some of the screens would look like with AA and AF cranked up.
February 15, 200620 yr I'm happy with whatever screenshots we get, and I think it is actually good to get them from a range of machines. At some point, I think Andre said he is using an nVidia FX5500, which isn't top of the line. As Jason and Mike said, they don't all have top of the line machines in the Dev Dept.. I'm running on a 1.83 PentiumM laptop with 64MB X300 (soon to upgrade to 128 X600?) graphics and a Athlon 2500 with 128 MB ATI 9800. I'm not in a position to be doing a real upgrade any time soon (the graphics upgrade will be cheap if I do it, and probably won't do a heck of a lot anyway), so I like to see shots from lower end machines.Though I must say I also enjoy seeing pics from the top end, too :)Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com/FC_StartJava.html] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-) Tom Perry
