July 27, 20196 yr Hi, Just wanted a general opinion of how my hardware should be performing running pmdg, orbx, traffic etc 3.0GHz 6-core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost up to 4.1GHz RAM: 8GB Radeon Pro 570X with 4GB of GDDR5 memory 1TB Fusion Drive MSFS 2024
July 27, 20196 yr @cooperwarner8 Hi You have p3dv4 requirements here: https://www.prepar3d.com/system-requirements/ You meet the minimum requirements so I think you will be able to use p3dv4.5 but only in 1080p / 1024 / 30 fps and using medium-low settings, but if you add too many add ons you are going to have performance problems. Your PC would work better with FSX SE, if you do not intend to spend too much money on add ons, maybe FSX SE would be a better option to consider, without the need to update the equipment. However, if you want to improve your equipment to use P3DV4, you would basically need at least the following: 1.- A new 240Gb SSD where to install W10, leaving the HDD for P3Dv4, although P3Dv4 installs part of the add ons in C /: so a 500GB SSD would be preferable. 2.- 8GB of additional ram memory. 3.- A new GPU, at least a GTX 1660 6GB or GTX 1660Ti 6GB, with them you can fly in P3DV4 at 1080p / 2048 / 60 fps and you can use them for other games without problem. 4.- optional, both the rx570 4gb and the 1660s require a psu of at least 450W, a psu of 650W 80+ bronze or gold would be recommended for the equipment to be efficient. Regards

July 27, 20196 yr P3D v4.5 is still CPU dependent. The higher the core, the better your performance. It will utilize your GPU, hence they recommend a 1080TI. An SSD is essential for faster loading times. You should also limit what scenery to load and what how your settings affect your performance. There are simply are no shortcuts. MSFS
