July 28, 20196 yr Hello Falcon 50 pilots! I am having difficulty trying to set up various panel views. The Falcon 50 is a challenge because the instrument panel is loaded with gauges and I am using my trackIR to move my view as needed. But it is still cumbersome to get a steady view. . Using the shift key and choosing various number keys to select 2D views helps. I have seen videos of the EZ dock and chase plane product and was wondering if Falcon pilots were using these products. Any ideas or suggestions welcome. It has been a while, but as I recall it seemed cumbersome to set up and use. And some other folks I know had similar experiences with EZ Dock. As for ChasePlane, I have not used it but I do know some who like it very much. Keep in mind however my user 'sample size' is small. All this is based on the opinions of 3 or 4 users so your experience with either EZ Dock or ChasePlan could be quite different. There are Youtube videos/reviews for both products so that may help you make a decision. The cost for EZ Dock and ChasePlane is about the same. Al
July 28, 20196 yr I do use ChasePlane with the Falcon 50. At first, ChasePlane was really a mess for me -- I almost quit using it after the first day or two. Now though, I have a fairly consistent view setup with most aircraft, including the Falcon, and once you figure out how to set up views the way you like, it's less a problem. I have an old Logitech gamepad velcro'ed to the center / hub of my yoke, and I have Chaseplane assign axes and buttons on the Logitech gamepad for various views. It works ok.
