July 31, 20196 yr Commercial Member We have uploaded a little intro video on simwestSOCAL and shows highlights of simwestSANDIEGO. Also, we had several requests on extending the simwest "4-Buck Boost" combo package for a few days more (guess payday falls on the 1st and the 5th), so we have extended the Limited Edition thru August 5th. Don't forget, we have simwestALBQ as a freebie so you can give our type of scenery a "test flight". July 31, 20196 yr Hi, I didn't know this product.... Does it cover the whole of South California (like ORBX SC)? Should all ORBX SC stuff (Vector, OpenLC and so...) be disabled? Are ORBX airports compatible? Thank you, Richard EDIT: just downloading Albuquerque... August 1, 20196 yr Author Commercial Member It's coverage is from the city of Barstow, CA south to the border of Mexico, from the Pacific Ocean (including islands), east to the Arizona border. You can see a coverage map at the in product page images. You do not have to disable orbx products but simwest needs a higher priority in the Scenery Library. Not sure if all airports are 100% compatible ( there are some 180 default airports in the coverage), but we tested several (like KSAN), and they fit in nicely. There are also instructions in our Pilot's Guide how to address such issues. If you download simwestALBQ which you can use to test our type of scenery on your system, you may see an issue with KABQ if you use orbx but that is easily fixed, once again, using the Pilot's Guide as well. Give er' a go! August 1, 20196 yr Author Commercial Member Richard, are you talking about installing it? If so, you want to use the .exe file for that. Otherwise I'll need you to explain further. 😊 Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!) For some obscure reasons I tried to launch the installation via simwestALBQ.msi...no comment... Great idea to have done the Breaking Bad challenge...I loved this show, it makes me want to see it again...Thanks. August 3, 20196 yr @Clutch Cargo Last but not least... Before I acquire Simwest Socal, I have an important question. Although I have space on 2 of my hard disks to download it, the fact of having only +-40GB on my C disk will it be a problem or not, knowing that I plan to download it on my D or E: disk? I ask this question because it seems to me (not sure, hence my question) that downloading even to another disc, sometimes also goes through the disc system. Thank you in advance Richard Edited August 3, 20196 yr by DrumsArt Richard Portier MAXIMUS VI FORMULA|Intel® Core i7-4770K [email protected] x8|NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080ti|M16GB DDR3|Windows10 Pro 64|P3Dv5|AFS2|TrackIr5|Saitek ProFlight Yoke + Quadrant + Rudder Pedal|Thrustmaster Warthog A10|
August 7, 20196 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Richard, Not sure I follow ya but simwestSOCAL is in the range of 40GB. So you need at least 40-45GB to download it and another 40-45GB to install it. If you are right on the edge of that I would not attempt to install it wherever that is. Maybe you can download on one drive and install it on another? Hope that helps, Clutch Edited August 7, 20196 yr by Clutch Cargo Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)
