Vehicle traffic in and around the airport? What about ...

Featured Replies

I saw a post mentioning that motor vehicle traffic will become a reality in FSX, is this true? Also, I was wondering if the team is considering modelling airport service vehicles and ground crew. It would be fantastic to be marshalled to a parkng spot shut down and as you look outside the aircraft you will see the activity begin. And then once the aircraft is refuelled and ready for pushback you can watch the tug as the engines are spooling up. That would be the cats meow for me.Keep up the good work devs.Regards,

I think that would be via add-on, but there is no basis in fact for that statement.I'll be happy with vehicles on roads- as it appears we'll see with this- cars and trucks on the highway (based on Jason's screenshots), anyhow. From there is suspect that it will be 'easy' to add airport service traffic, though service vehicles that interact with aircraft might be a stretch out of the box :)We'll find out sometime this Fall...

That's sounds like a fantastic idea and would be totally in-line with a more dynamic, living world. I'll see what I can do. Thanks!

You guys are having way too much fun. Shouldn't you be working hard to implement every single essential feature suggested - instead of loitering around here and pestering us innocent bystanders? What is this world coming to?Can you please send me the name of your overseer incl postal address so I can send him my favourite whip? *crack*:-bangChristian

Commenting in forums and blogging are all extra curricular activities; we do this on our "own" time. In my case, usually while waiting to compile or save stuff...:)

I was just kidding - my kind of twisted humour I guess ;)Actually, it's great to read a comment or two from the inside. So a big thanks for sacrificing your 'own' time. My only wish is you'd show your faces in the scenery and aircraft forums. Then I could bug you with some really tough questions...Christian

"...I could bug you with some really tough questions..."Try hitting Adrian (http://blogs.technet.com/torgo3000/) up with requests for blog posts...:)Cheers,J{EDIT}Oh, and I *do* try and cruise those forums every now and again. Hard to do on a regular basis, as I try and post at several sites so as not to play favorites.

>Try hitting Adrian (http://blogs.technet.com/torgo3000/) up>with requests for blog posts...Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

Thanks!Hey thanks to you all at the MSF Team, I know you are just toying around with us and looks like you are having fun too. Whatever the final product will look like I am sure that lots of us will be amazed with the new developments... some even ground breaking in the FS world. So what's with the *'s instead of quotation marks, I have noticed in the remarks that you prefer the *'s to "'s. Just had to ask.Best regards,

>So what's with the *'s instead of quotation marks, I have>noticed in the remarks that you prefer the *'s to "'s. Just>had to ask. That is quite likely a carryover from usegroup participaton. The asterisk character (*) is used to *emphasize* certain words or phrases, since bold character fonts aren't available in a purely ASCII based usegroup! :)Over the decades of using the ancient dialup BBSs, early attempts at usegroups, etc., I've developed certain styles that are very difficult to eliminate when writing normal, snail-mail correspondence!I frequently find that I've inserted a smilie or a LOL! in a formal letter... ;)
