August 21, 20196 yr Hey Guys. Information changes frequently. Some info likely out of date. Do you guys use NVIDIA Control Panel to make any changes to Prepar3D graphic settings? Really trying to figure out best practices and settings. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
August 21, 20196 yr I only use it for display settings and color settings along with the HDR settings in P3d. I don't use any profile or touch any other settings. Its all subjective as to what you like in color. The NCP really helps in doing this. CPU: Intel i9-11900K @5.2 / RAM: 64GB DDR4 3200 / GPU: 4080 16GB /
August 21, 20196 yr Commercial Member The best thing do is is calibrate your monitor using something like Calibrize. It can make all the difference in the world. After doing that, you can fine tune things using NVIDIA Control Panel and/or P3D. Use NVIDIA Control Panel if you want further changes that affect the display in all programs, and the P3D settings if you just want to affect P3D (with a Calibrated monitor I have never had to do this). Your 1080 vertical resolution is probably the reason. With a 1080Ti you really should be running at UHD. 3840*2160. Four times the resolution. Then you’ll see a difference. 👍 Ray (Cheshire, England).
