September 3, 20196 yr After updating to Zibo mod 737-800 latest release, the throttles do not activate engine thrust. I did have to recalibrate and reconfigure my Logitech throttle quadrants after the update. I believe I'm doing all that has to be done to configure take off. The throttle levers are moving correctly in unison with my logitech quadrants, but there's no increase in engine power. The reverse thrust works but not forward thrust. The T.O. config warning light does come on, but after checking flap setting, speed brake off, auto brake to RTO etc the TO config warning won't cease to operate. Is there a T.O config button to press that I'm overlooking? I can't find the answer to this phenomenon on the forums. I'm no expert in this, so thanks in advance for any help.
September 3, 20196 yr Can you check your x-plane.log file (do not start x-plane as it overwrites the file each startup) and check if the word error is displayed with regards to Zibo? September 3, 20196 yr This has happen to me a couple of times in the past, the only solution I found is to restart XP. September 3, 20196 yr I know this doesn't exactly help the question but I moved to the Ultimate 737-700 - I found it a lot less buggy than the original Zibo: https://forum.thresholdx.net/files/file/246-737-700u/ | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
September 3, 20196 yr @ryanbatcund - sorry, question from an X-Plane 11 noob... how does the Ultimate differ from the Zibo (other than being a -700, of course). Thought it was based on the Zibo mod. Are the updates less frequent and/or less buggy? Any other differences? Thanks in advance! Alan Ampolsk"Ah, Paula, they are firing at me!"-- Saint-Exupery
September 3, 20196 yr It is based on the zibo....I think it even shares assets from it. The one I use seems more like the PMDG I used in FSX. The original zibo wouldn't do some things when I did them the pmdg way haha. Also I had issues with auto throttles like the user above....and issues with LNAV consistently capturing. Someone here suggested I try the ultimate mod instead. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
September 3, 20196 yr @ryanbatcund - Thanks! I'll check it out. The Zibo seems to be evolving rapidly - and benefiting from Flightdeck2Sim's input re: the flight model and FMS - but of course rapid evolution is a mixed bag. Lots of breakage along the way. And I like the -700 better than the -800 anyway, so... 😎 Alan Ampolsk"Ah, Paula, they are firing at me!"-- Saint-Exupery
January 4, 20206 yr Hi MyFly, Were you able to sort out the throttle problem. I have the same issue. Last time I was able to use the zibo was 3.34.RC1 and they are up to 3.38.36. Was hoping with each update it would correct my throttle problem but unfortunately not. Like yourself I do not have a lot of knowledge in this area (silversurfer - brain slowing down ! !). Ta - JB.
