What is this alarm?

Featured Replies

For some reason I have begun hearing an alarm about 20-30 minutes into flights. It never used to happen, so unsure why all of a sudden it has appeared. It happens with and without FS2Crew installed. It's also happening following a fresh install of both P3DV4.5 and the NGX. I have checked most things, including service hatch and doors. I'm sure it's something simple, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Any help appreciated...

I would guess it's the Cabin Altitude alarm..? Forgot packs?

It is the cabin altitude warning. Either the pack switches are off or the engine bleed switches are off.

Thanks fellas, I thought it would be finger trouble at my end. Cheers.

Hellas accident.....

The Config warning and cabin high alt alarm are the same and a mod was done to fit the aircraft with an extra pair of warning lights as it may have caused confusion. #

In some simulators, you would get a lovely dimming of light and blackout after that had been going for some time.....

Best advice is to USE THE CHECKLISTS. After take off checklist gets you to check bleeds and packs.

That's the cabin pressurisation/altitude warning indicating you've not set up the pressurisation correctly, try when you are above fl100 (so level off at fl150) to close the valve or open (I can't remember which one, but I had the same issue, it's above the knob for auto, altn and mnl) and hold it until the alarm stops
