October 22, 20196 yr Hi, I have a problem with LFLJ Courchevel, it is missing in the RC4 database. I have carefully read the instructions for MakeRwys. I have the latest versions of FSUIPC, RC4, LorbySceneryExport and MakeRwys. The problem seems to come from the fact that I have LFLJ in Runways.xml and Runways.txt but it is not "transferred" in Runways.csv nor in R4.csv and therefore, consequently, the airport is not transferred in the RC4 files. Why is LFLJ not in Runways.csv or runways.xml? Can we solve this? Thank you and Regards, Richard Edited October 22, 20196 yr by DrumsArt Richard Portier MAXIMUS VI FORMULA|Intel® Core i7-4770K [email protected] x8|NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080ti|M16GB DDR3|Windows10 Pro 64|P3Dv5|AFS2|TrackIr5|Saitek ProFlight Yoke + Quadrant + Rudder Pedal|Thrustmaster Warthog A10|
October 22, 20196 yr Strange, because I have it in my r4 file. Are you sure you have updated RC4 from the interface? (Rebuild scenery DB). Here is the entry: LFLJ,0050,45.399975,6.622049,6418,50.000,1756,0,131,-1.000,45.401554,6.624638,0,, You can copy and paste to the r4 file but only use Notepad or Norepad ++ not Excel. Yes I updated from the RC4 interface (Rebuild....). As I wrote in my previous post, the problem seems to come from upstream in the P3Dv4.5 folder... When copying the coordinates of LFLJ should I take into account the alphabetical order or does it not matter? I would like to understand where the problem comes from because I suppose there is a chance that LFLJ is not the only one involved. EDIT: I copied the coordinates you gave me. It doesn't work, when I launch RC4, my aircraft is in the middle of nowhere, which is a sign that RC4 doesn't recognize LFLJ... October 23, 20196 yr Moderator @DrumsArt, please state the version numbers of MakeRunways and FSUIPC5. If Ian has the entry and you don't it's likely to be because you don't have the same files used to generate the data. Ray (Cheshire, England). Hi Ray, FSUIPC v5.1.5.2 MakeRwys.exe v4.8.7.3 RC4 v4.3.3845 All programs as an administrator... EDIT: I was finally able to make it work. I had first copied the coordinates into the r4 located in D:\Program Files (x86)\rcv4x\data. Seeing that it didn't work, I modified the r4 located in E:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4, then I restarted the RC4 rebuild database. This time the airport was recognized. However, I have a problem in the first part of the process that is not related to RC4, as I mentioned in my first post: " The problem seems to come from the fact that I have LFLJ in Runways.xml and Runways.txt but it is not "transferred" in Runways.csv nor in R4.csv contained in the P3D folder and therefore, consequently, the airport is not transferred in the RC4 files." October 23, 20196 yr Moderator Richard, you have the latest versions, good. Is RC4 on the same PC as P3D? If so I suspect it may be related to P3D and RC4 being located under Program Files. Can you copy the file manually? Its best to install those away from protected areas like Program Files. Ray (Cheshire, England). So protection should not be an issue. But if LFLJ exists in P3D then MakeRunways should find it. It sounds like it isn’t being created in r4.csv. I’ve turned off my PC but will check mine tomorrow. October 23, 20196 yr Moderator Hi Richard, I've just checked mine and it's present in P3D r4.csv and also in r4.csv in RC4\data folder. Strange because it's a default airport and is located in Scenery\0601\scenery\APX49150.bgl Check you have that file. LATER: Just spotted this... "Runway 5 /23 centre: N45:24:05.5970 E006:37:28.6962 6418ft Runway 23 closed for landing and take-off" If there's no runway to use that may be why it doesn't get transferred. LATER STILL: Only 05 is open so it should be listed in r4.csv. Edited October 23, 20196 yr by Ray Proudfoot Ray (Cheshire, England). October 23, 20196 yr Moderator Richard, that is almost certainly the problem. Always best to mention if you have 3rd party scenery. How many entries for LFLJ do you have in runways.txt. I have 3 - all related to the default. You should have more but if you don’t then that the reason it’s missing. How is that scenery installed? Scenery Library or Add-on.xml? Is it listed in Lorby’s Addon Organizer? Ray (Cheshire, England). October 24, 20196 yr Moderator Richard, I think this is something you're going to have to take up with Pete / John Dowson on their forum as it appears not to be a RC problem. You say you think it's in Scenery Library. Confirmation is best. Ray (Cheshire, England). Yes, I confirm it's Scenery Library, I also confirm that when I answered, I had a doubtI Anyway thank you for your time and help. If I haven't already said it, RC4 is for me the best of all ATCs (rigour, simplicity, very rarely caught in error...). Believe me, I have 3 other ATC programs and frankly.... RC4 + MCE is the ideal tandem, I use it almost every day.
