Installing AI aircraft into UTlive

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I am using UTlive for the injection of AI traffic into my P3D sim. Whenever I am flying, I love the fact that aprons are not that empty. On the other hand, installing aircraft base models and repaints for them is a real pain in the word not allowed.

I am attempting to add some cargo traffic and routes into UTlive. So far so good, downloaded schedules for Fedex and UPS but no aircraft assigments. I downloaded several aircraft basepacks such as the TFS A300, A310, AIA 757 etc.

I modified the simobjects.cfg so that UTlive knows where to find my aircraft.

When I go back into UTlive to assign the repaints to the schedule, I notice that 'The Fruit Stand' and several other basemodel manufacturers are not listed in the dropdown menu on the left side. Only Alpha India is located here. This leads me to believe that the simobject.cfg has been properly modified to read my aircraft but I cannot make the others appear.

Help! What am I doing wrong?

I would appreciate some pointers into the right direction. Thanks for your help.

Cheers,
Daniel W.

@danielwest
Sorry I can't help with your issue but here is an alternative:
As a long time loyal user of Ultimate Traffic & then UTLive I no longer use it. But not by choice. I forgot to backup my AI traffic folder that I built and maintained for years when reinstalling the OS and P3D. It was a blessing in disguise. Alpha India Group (AIG) has the perfect AI installer:
https://www.alpha-india.net/forums/index.php?topic=28686.0 The latest version is; AIG_AIManager_0.9.2.8.zip. It is simple once you've used it a couple times. I use the OCI (One Click Install) method. It is unbelievably quick to install traffic. You will have more traffic and more airlines then you ever thought possible. Flightplans are in most cases up to date (recent). All aircraft models are P3Dv4 compatible.
You won't regret switching over to the AIGAIM One Click Installer.
And the best thing... it is FREE!

Yes Daniel. Bill is right ! The AIG is very good. I actually use the UTL and AIG at the same time  if there is not enough AI on the airport. but mostly AIG generates enough traffic. I use FSUIPC to switch on and off AIG traffic with a keyboard command and UTL lets you also assign a key to start and stop.

If the airport is heavy on frames I switch off all  AI to save on FPS and switch them back on after landing.

May be this thread : is also of any intrest to you. It is still on my "to do " list buit it seems you can replace the UTL aircraft with ( I hope) AIG) aircraft. Hopefully I get rid of outdated liveries on some airines.

It was quite easy actually, when I was trying it out I had a few thousand extra liveries in UTL. I don't think I was using any of the UTL models at all when I was done.
