From Today's Freeware Hot files - 5 pictures

Featured Replies

I was scanning the Hot files list today (on FlightSim.com). And, here, below, are five images that caught my attention. Enjoy (and visit there for further details).

  1. Piper PA-28 Cherokee - [The Cherokee was first introduced into Service in 1960, and, after nearly 60 years, it is still in production (32,777 units built).]
  2. Junkers Ju-87 Stuka - [This is the famous "inverted gull-winged" Ju-87 in the unique "Desert Snake" repaint.]
  3. HMS Victory - [This is an 18th century tall ship, completely wind driven. Launched in 1765, and after 241 years' service as of 2019, it's now preserved as a museum ship at the Portsmouth Dockyard, England.]
  4. Orbis DC-10 - [Orbis is well known for its "Flying Eye Hospital," an ophthalmic hospital and teaching facility located on board its MD-10 aircraft. The Flying Eye Hospital brings training to doctors and nurses in developing countries with little access to professional development and training. Regarding the "FedEx" logo seen on the fuselage: Orbis had announced it would replace its current DC-10 Flying Eye Hospital with a DC-10 Series 30 freighter. FedEx announced that it would donate one of its DC-10-30s, to Orbis to replace its DC-10-30F.]
  5. Bolivian Airways L-1049H Super Constellation - [The L-1049H Connie first flew on November 20, 1956. Called "Super H" and "Husky", the L-1049H was a convertible passenger/freight aircraft, built from L1049G.]

A great set. The shading, weathering and panel lines on the Stuka look particularly well done.

Thanks for the comments, Mark!

BTW, I just noticed that the (DC-10) Orbis livery above is by Enko, who, you said, also did the SkyLease repaint for your MD-11 Cargo post.

**Fantastic Combo**
