November 10, 20196 yr Hi, Just got the NGXu from PMDG- will MCE support it? I haven't tried it with MCE yet as I didn't know if using it before it's fully supported would mess anything up? Thanks Edited November 10, 20196 yr by severniae James W

Thanks Unless aircraft has dramatically changed from a cockpit switches perspective, and provided MCE can identify aircraft variant properly, should work out of the box. Could you post [fltsim.0] whole section found in "aircraft.cfg" file? What is the name of the main aircraft folder? Example <PMDG 737-800NGX WL>? Thanks. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com

Assuming MCE Fo can handle thing via direct commands, you'll probably notice flows are missing. Here is how you can make them available for the NGXu variants. Go to \My Documents\Multi Crew Experience\Myvoicescripts\Copilot\Aircraft folder. Copy folder <PMDG 737-800NGX> Then paste it and rename the copied folder as <PMDG 737-800NGXu> Repeat the process until all new folders are created with same flows inside them. Customize them if you wish later. Now, if Fo is unable to move any switch, it's likely because they may have changed the "sim" name. "Sim=whatever_name_they_gave_it" in "aircraft.cfg" file Eventually report that. Thanks Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
November 12, 20196 yr Gerald just tryed the NGXu and.... no joy not a single switch is working! The Sim name is also different: sim=B737-800 sim=B737-800 BW sim=B737-800 SSW sim=B737-900ER BW sim=B737-900ER SSW sim=B737-900 sim=B737-900 BW sim=B737-900 SSW hope that helps Bruno Bruno

It would then deal with it as generic unsupported aircraft and the only things that may work are Gear, Flaps and Radios tuning. What is the new sim name they gave it. in aircraft.cfg file? "sim=whatever_name" And is there an SDK folder in the main aircraft folder? Thanks Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com

If you have installed Prepar3D and NGXu AFTER installing MCE, you need to re-install MCE. Go to \Prepar3D v4\ installation folder and check you have a folder named <MCE dlls> with many dlls inside it. Among them, one particular dll is needed for PMDG NGX interaction. It's named "mcpmd73X.dll" Now, go to C:\FlightSimulators\P4D\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGXu\ folder and see if you can locate a settings file ( something like "737NGXu_Options.ini" Open the file and make sure [SDK] EnableDataBroadcast=1 Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
November 12, 20196 yr Author Ok, within the options.ini folder there isn't any [SDK] entry, should I create one? The dll you mentioned does exist in the dlls folder. James W

As long as there is "B737" and "ui_createdby=PMDG", then it's the NGX with all its variants MCE is dealing with. Add these lines to "737NGXu_Options.ini" found in \Prepar3D v4\\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGXu\ Make sure Prepar3d.exe is running as administrator. [SDK]EnableDataBroadcast=1 Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com

November 13, 20196 yr So just tryed it a few times with the EnableDataBroadcast=1 in the ini! But every time and also after reload this message pops up: P3D runs as admin Bruno Edited November 13, 20196 yr by bakerman bild Bruno

This at least confirms aircraft is properly identified and "mcpmd73X.dll" is loaded (the correct one). That dll needs to be updated in order to be aware of the "U" variant. Will post new file as soon as possible. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
