Thanks Gerald.

Just did a test, got to the GSX pushback part of the flight, requested push and MCE got stuck opening/closing the forward door over and over agian. Just a heads up in case you hadn't caught it yet.

Thanks,
James

Good catch. Thank you.

Download this file

Unzip and replace file in \Prepar3D v4\MCE dlls\ folder.

Should get all doors automatically handled on GSX/AES request.

Thanks.

There are about 4 special flows for testing purposes only.

They'll  give you an idea about speech commands for controlling many switches directly, so you can test without performing full flights.

Gave it a go last night - still seem to have the door problem with requesting push back. Not ruled that it might be GSX causing the issue?

I also have a problem but I think it mainly because of the interaction between chaseplane/GSX/MCE and P3D's native VR - when I ask the mechanic for pushback sometimes he makes GSX go into the push back planning mode (GSX level 2) which seems to break everything.

Also of note, for some reason I just can't convince it to accept the command 'Flaps up' - just get completely ignored. It works on other aircraft so it's not a detection issue.

Best,

James

Thanks for the report.

It's normal for mechanic to hand you over to GSX push-back team once you request push or ask him whether he's ready for it.

Regarding doors...

Establish contact with mechanic first, then ask him/her directly

mechanic open cargo doors

ground close cargo doors.

Speak the wrong command and see if you can get him to close when you ask for them to be opened  and vice versa.

If there is an issue there, then it's something we need to look at.

Do the same with cabin doors.

cabin crew open service doors

flight attendants close service doors

If it happens as a result of GSX sending a message in green bar asking you to operate the doors and MCE trying to react to it, could you please grab a screenshot of the green bar message?

Regarding flaps...

You can also use these

retract flaps

flaps retract

flaps all the way up

.....will check why the other one not going through easily.. Never mind, issue was caused by recent Edit to flaps control system to address this. Read last page only.

Thanks.

Thanks Gerald, will give another go tonight.

Regarding the GSX/doors issue, I think it is to do with GSX messages in the green bar - I'll get a screenie for you tonight.

Are we there  yet? 😛

Maybe it's just a one off.

Specific issue with door, if confirmed, could always be dealt with in one of the numerous updates.

I assume everything else is OK for release.

Hi Gerald,

Sorry - I was called to travel away for work so haven't been able to get to the computer like i had hoped... Back home tonight, so looking forward to giving it another go!

From the last test - all the other features were working fine, flows were as expected and I didn't see any behaviour that was incorrect.

Definitely later. First I have to help the wife get a Christmas tree and decorate the house. Being a married man my priorities are made for me.😏
