November 22, 20196 yr I just had a CTD and looking at the AppCrashView, it said the following: Prepar3D.exe Stopped working 11/22/2019 9:51:40 AM All Users 0xc0020001 0x00039129 KERNELBASE.dll 10.0.17763.864 C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepar3D.exe 48,800 C:\Users\All Users\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\AppCrash_Prepar3D.exe_81738ec62f87381f4f8ea80a6b9e2e9cb784676_1793b743_3c2b930d\Report.wer Is this enough to pinpoint what caused this and how I can avoid it going forward? November 26, 20196 yr What aircraft are you experiencing this with? These dreaded Kernelbase CTDs are happening to me when flying the 717 (not the famous view change related issue). Shom MSFS2024 running on Win 11, 4K screen, Z790 AORUS ELITE AX-W, i9-14900K, MSI 3080Ti, Corsair 2x32GB 6000 MHz, 1+2TB M.2 NVMEs
November 26, 20196 yr There is no known fix for the kernelbase.dll module. The kernelbase.dll is a system file and this module is thrown when the system has a problem with the app. I believe it is thrown when an incompatible scenery or utility is loaded. You should run the system file checker to see if any system files are corrupted - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system. If you have a system restore point, use it if it is before the date when this error began (type restore in search box and click on how to create a restore point). This fixed a major problem I was having when something decided to change all of my files to read only. Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
