Bernd, not sure if he discusses the setup but might be worth a watch.

Cheers

From the manual...

"In X-Plane 11 the default assignments for axes and switches are
already included. You can customize these assignments in the X-Plane
menu according to your wishes."

Thank you Martin, it is a great video but unfortunately does not answer my question. Dave,  when I added my old x52 all axis and switches were assigned to functions. i was looking for the same with the homecomb but there are no functions assigned to the switches. Everything says NONE. So I am looking for a profile which assigns basic functions to the switches, eg the lights.

Thanks

Bernd

Hello my friend,

First let me apologize to you and everyone waiting to hear back from me... several of my immediate family members are having some very serious medical problems, and on top of that I'm supporting the A330 Beta as it pushes towards release and as always my regular flight sim related duties, but I'm trying to catch up on everything this week.  Thank you guys, so very much, for being patient and understanding.

So there is a brandy new Honeycomb Support forum, and it would be very helpful if we could move our discussions there.  I know, it's a pain to ask the same question in a different forum, but in this case it would make the support a lot easier for customers and I'm sure for Honeycomb.

Bernd,

If I understand your questions correctly, here is how this works my friend.

For P3D default aircraft and Xplane Default aircraft the basic Honeycomb Profile (already in the software) is already set up.  When we talk Payware Aircraft, we often need to know the values from the developers SDK in order to program a profile for the aircraft, unless the developer used default values for the item the user wants to bind to the Yoke switches.  Our team at Aerosoft is working on new aircraft profiles and plans to release them periodically but if you have the values from the developer then you can create a new profile yourself.  Today I plan to ask Honeycomb if they will provide a place for people to upload their own profiles, which should help a lot.

That said... if you don't have the SDK values you need, the best way to program switch functions is to use FSUIPC's Macro function to program these binds.  The FSUIPC Macro function is very easy (basically point and click) and very quick to do.

I sincerely hope this is helpful to you my friend.

So with that I'm moving over to the Honeycomb Support Forum, and I hope to see you guys there!

Best wishes my friends!
