November 25, 20196 yr Olympic Airlines never flew an A380 (the largest commercial airliner by capacity) nor the An-225 (the largest aircraft in the world by weight, length and wingspan). But, in our SIM there's no shortage of "fictional" (or "virtual") liveries, and, actually, they add a bit of eccentricity to our hobby! As follow-up to my earlier post on Olympic Airlines, I was exploring further a bit the "actual" vs. "fictional" aircraft liveries for this airline, and I came across these two aircraft. So, to wrap up the recollections of this classic Airline, please find, here, below, two "what if" scenarios...Olympic liveries on Wilco's A380, lifting off from Seattle (KSEA), and on Tom Ruth's An-225 Mriya, landing at Vancouver (CYVR). Thanks for viewing, and hope, you enjoy the few images of these two unique aircraft, in a class of their own, in this special (but hypothetical) livery.
November 25, 20196 yr Great idea! Bringing the An-225 back to serial production? Well, nothing is impossible... even more as there are obviously serious attempts to do so... and the Antonov looks terrific in every livery (perhaps excepting new Lufthansa one, but that is another story). November 28, 20196 yr Author Harald: Thanks for the thoughts...! Yes, certainly, that would be nice...of course, if they bring it back with “full glass” cockpit and “advanced computers” (which they probably will...), a few of us will be a bit disappointed here...🙂... Patrick: Yes, “The Big Boys”....that best describes these planes....! Good day (or Happy Thanksgiving)...all...as applicable!
