December 16, 20196 yr I have noticed that when the first officer doing his before start checks he always sets the trim different from what the FMC is calling for. The V Speeds are correct so I am not sure why this data isn't matching. ~Spencer HoeferMOBO: Gigabye Aorus z590 elite | CPU: Intel i9-10900k | RAM: GSKILL RIPJAWS 32GB DDR4 3200 |GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080Ti 11GB| OS: Windows 10
December 16, 20196 yr Commercial Member It's very difficult for us to accurately move the trim wheel. It's hit and miss. Sometimes it's close. Sometimes it's not. In V1.1, I'm going to add an option to make FO control of the trim setting for TO a user option. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
December 16, 20196 yr Author Okay. It isn't a big deal either way, I was just wondering why that was happening. Thanks. ~Spencer HoeferMOBO: Gigabye Aorus z590 elite | CPU: Intel i9-10900k | RAM: GSKILL RIPJAWS 32GB DDR4 3200 |GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080Ti 11GB| OS: Windows 10
January 2, 20215 yr Hi Bryan... and Happy New Year! I'm using button control. I set myself the trim. For my flights it is usually beetween 5.4x and 5.5x. (x being a second decimal). At the "STAB TRIM -SET" stage, the Captain always says "six point zero unit". Is that normal, taking into account the difficulty you mentioned above? Is that related to what is said in the manual: Note: The Stabilizer trim will only accept a trim setting to one decimal place. So 5.0 Units will work, but not 5.55 units. You are supposed to be looking at the trim handle, not the CDU for the trim setting. I do not quite understand that because, for me, the FMC indicates a 2 decimals trim value. And so does the trim wheel. January 2, 20215 yr Commercial Member We can't read stab trim very well due to SDK limits, so the number is approximate based on the crude data we an read for the Stab trim. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
