January 4, 20206 yr [Today, I read with interest, in our FS2020 Forum, the fact that we have now already passed "25,000" posts about the new simulator which is still a year away from release....(please see the topic "25,000" in the respective Forum). That signifies an unprecedented level of excitement and discussion about the new Simulator! It will be certainly an interesting 2020 for the SIM community...] Anyway, here, in this post, I do my own (annual) due diligence to examine the most downloaded FW files from 2019. Focusing on Aircraft alone, I've selected a representative sample of 19 images, posted below. Hope you'll enjoy the diversity (and collective beauty) of this FW sample, overlooking for a moment, any comparison to PW products...(after all, each of these aircraft, by themselves, in their own rights, are, surely, worth a ponder, irrespective of the level of associated fidelity of their system simulation). [If you wish, you may find them in the FlightSim Library. The shown aircraft, in the order of appearance, are as follows: (1) Southern Martlet (2) Curtiss Jenny (3) Pitts S2A (4) Piper Cherokee (5) Spitfire MK1A (6) Howard 500 (7) Nomad 22B (8) Avia 57 (9) ADAM A500 (10) Let L-410 (11) Heinkel He177 (12) Tupolev Tu-95 (13) B737-200 (14) B737-800 (15) A320-200 (16) A321-211 (17) B777-200 (18) B747-400 (19) A380-800] Thanks for your interest!

January 5, 20206 yr Author Thanks both, for the comments!! [Patrick, I had a feeling the Spitfire might catch your attention....🙂...of course, that plane is a classic in itself! BTW, I read up (and scanned the pictures) a bit about the DCS's Spitfire offering (their modeled LF Mark IX variant), it looks quite impressive...inside out...!] And, to go with the Spitfire above, I found, here, an (FSX) image of the P-47D Razorback...(this was also one of the top downloads of 2019)...Enjoy...
January 5, 20206 yr Beautiful!! The A2A Razorback Jug was always one of my all time favorites,BTW a P-47D will be joining The Spitefire in DCS very soon 100%75%50%d8a34be0e82d98b5a45ff4336cd0dddc Patrick
January 5, 20206 yr Author Yes, “Jug” to the initiated or to those pilots of the past...(always was interested in this tiny legend, but came to know of this nickname only yesterday...🙂...) The duo SIMs of Spitfire “and” P-47D (with their incredible realism) will be surely fantastic for DCS...
