February 4, 20206 yr Hi For three months I have attempted to operate P3D with CPFlight. I have CPFlights Hardware but when trying to connect get a message saying "Wrong Protocol or connection state for the requested transaction". CPFlight have been trying to give support but have not cracked it. As I only get one email a day from them, support is slow and endless. Help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hmm, i have the CPFlight MCPEL ,EFIS,NAVS,COMS,TRANSPONDER. Have you installed and tried your USBs? What about the control software inside w10? Does it work there? February 5, 20206 yr Maybe we should start which exact MCP you have: EL or PRO, 1/2/3, USB or LAN ... System: i9 [email protected] - 32 GB RAM - Aorus 1080ti --- Sim/Addons: P3D v5 + ProSim737
February 8, 20206 yr Author Thank you for your replies. I have the Pro3 Ethernet MCP. I think this is a simconnect problem. When I try to install it flashes at speed. It should ask me if I wish to install the CPF_DLL_FSX.dll. I need a way to sort this! Martin Cumming
February 10, 20206 yr No need to start a second thread. I have the PRO2 MCP but i didn't have to fiddle around with simconnect. Can you see the MCP in the CPFlight Hardware Test tool? System: i9 [email protected] - 32 GB RAM - Aorus 1080ti --- Sim/Addons: P3D v5 + ProSim737
February 10, 20206 yr Author Hi Joe Im sort of desperate after three months trying to sort this with £4000 of CPFlight doing nothing. The CPFlight instructions say to install simconnect. The test shows everything is ok. The MCP, CDU, and radios are all there. Mine is the Ethernet version. If you could help or point me in the right direction I would be most grateful. CPFlight don’t want to know. Edited February 10, 20206 yr by Mac1 Spelling
February 10, 20206 yr CPFlight support is far from good, i know. Which addon-Plane do you use, PMDG? You have insert the "EnableDataBroadcast=1" in your 737*options.ini? System: i9 [email protected] - 32 GB RAM - Aorus 1080ti --- Sim/Addons: P3D v5 + ProSim737
February 10, 20206 yr Author Yes, PMDG but I starting off with the default aircraft. When I click on the simconnect msi it just flashes at speed and does nothing....
February 10, 20206 yr Did you install all four simconnect.msi? It just installs, then you have to move the CPFlight folder to the P3D installation folder. Then you start FSCOM.exe. System: i9 [email protected] - 32 GB RAM - Aorus 1080ti --- Sim/Addons: P3D v5 + ProSim737
February 10, 20206 yr Author I followed the instructions to the letter....To allow the CPFlight driver to work properly with P3d browse your system on the folder where you installed P3d and find this path....Lockheed Martin\prepar3d\.........\lib and double click on the simconnect file. I double click and it flashes and goes.......
February 10, 20206 yr You find "Microsoft Flightsimulator SimConnect ...." installed under "Apps and Features"? If yes, thats enough. System: i9 [email protected] - 32 GB RAM - Aorus 1080ti --- Sim/Addons: P3D v5 + ProSim737
February 11, 20206 yr Author Not there Joe. Had an email from Paolo today asking what version of P3D. So all is not lost......just yet!
February 11, 20206 yr Have you start the Simconnect install wie Administrator privileges resp. "run as administrator"? System: i9 [email protected] - 32 GB RAM - Aorus 1080ti --- Sim/Addons: P3D v5 + ProSim737
