February 9, 20206 yr I have had a couple instances recently where most, it not all, of my AI is missing. A few weeks ago I did a flight from somewhere to FB's SFO. Everything was normal at the departure; however, there were no AI aircraft when I landed. I tried bumping the sim time up by 10 minutes (usually causes AI to reload), but that didn't work. I can't remember whether I was flying the NGX or the NGXu Yesterday I started a flight at FT's LAS. There were no AIG AI when the sim loaded, but the GA traffic I have through UTL was there. There were a couple AIG flights in the air, but nothing at the airport. I tried to force AI to reload by bumping the time, but that didn't work. Next, I switched to SSJ's DTW and there was plenty of AI. I then switched back to LAS and the traffic was there. I was flying the NGXu -800. I am using AIGAIM, I have some converted UGA plans, and I am using UTL for GA. I have the FSUIPC limiter set to 150 aircraft which seems to be a good compromise between eye candy and performance on my system. Any ideas what is going on here? Thanks! February 10, 20206 yr Do you have any FS9 compiled flightplans active? Apparently, this causes all FSX/P3D compiled traffic to disappear in those areas where FS9 compiled traffic is operating. What are those "UGA" plans? February 10, 20206 yr There's a better way of forcing an AI reload than bumping the time--in FSUIPC program a joystick button or keypress to "Traffic Density Set" with param 0 on key/button press (kill all bgl-based AI) and the same control with param 100 (100% traffic) on key/button release. Then press the button or key for a second or so and then release. This will flush and reload all your bgl-based AI. I don't know what sort of interaction the UTL direct-injection AI has with the FSUIPC control. Could be the UTL AI is filling up those 150 slots and the FSUIPC limiter is killing off most of the bgl-based AI as a result. Try killing off the UTL traffic with Ctrl-T, then reset the bgl using the method above, and if the traffic returns, it's likely a problem resulting from UTL's traffic being immediately re-injected into the sim when FSUIPC tries to remove them. I had a similar issue with the traffic zapper not working on UTL acft.
