I think this a simple question but...

This is an overrated issue.  I have just upgraded from 7 to 10 with the Media Creation Tool because of 7 EOL  and I don't see  much difference between the two UI to be honest ! You can have a tablet interface if you want to but it is a choice.

Which is why many of us using W7 don’t want to ‘upgrade’ if it’s the same. I’d rather keep my great running 7 alone and build another pc just for 2020 using 10.
I use a work PC with 10 and I don’t see any benefit over 7 nor see how an OS will make any flight simulator run better. More a case of a reinstall performing better perhaps.

Its quite the adrenaline rush waiting to see if we can run FS11 on 7.

Or......7/11.

I just made that up. I’ll be here all week.

As already said, don't count on it.

It's not because you don't see major changes on the surface that there aren't under the hood. Lots of internal API becomes available in W10 which do not exist in W7, or already exist but in a rudimentary way. If a program needs W10, it needs W10.

Get over W7, seriously. FS11/2020 won't run on it. As said above, it won't even install.

I think this topic, has outlived itself.

No one knows the answer to this, either until it's released or Microsoft makes some kind og statement in this regard.

Personally I wouldn't count on it being compatible with Windows 7 - especially since Windows 7 is out of support for consumers. I don't see why (or how) Microsoft would provide support for an operating system, they themselves have deemed end-of-life.
