SP1 for the MilViz KA350i?

Featured Replies

I wonder if we'll have anytime soon the promised SP1 for the excellent rendition of the KA350i. Unfortunately the original version with HF1 still produces freezes of my sim (using P3D4.5hf2) at different times during the start-up and systems preparation process.

According to information obtained from their official forums, they're still looking to add more features, which is really good, but will make it a never ending process, in my opinion.

Do you mean the v1.0.6?.

And please, in that case, how is it compared to version v1.0.1, which is the one I still have installed?.

Thanks, Ed

Ed, their website states they are very happy with beta-testing of v1.08 so it shouldn't be too much longer.

V 1.0.6 appears to have many CTD issues fixed. I only had a single CTD with 1.0.1 on a STAR approach, but that may be because I tend to fly to remote places. It also added an axis calibration tool, but I actually had to reinstall 1.0.6 before that worked properly. However, now the throttle lever functions way better than in 1.0.1. There are many more things that have been fixed, but I cannot remember all of them. And, as Mario pointed out, 1.0.8 should be out in the not too distant future, which will probably be even better.

I would simply try 1.0.6. You are not running any risk: you can just run the installer, and if you don't like the result, you can run the 1.0.1 installer again. I did that after my first issues with the throttle quadrant. I went back to 1.0.1, but returned to 1.0.6 after the CTD and I am now happy with it.
