VOXAtc with FO

Featured Replies

Hi there,
I'm using VOX ATC 7.42 - installation is complete. I want to use VOX ATC with the FO, but for me there is no FO in the "window" and VOX ATC starts with "xxx set to xxx Ground" and not with ATIS.

Does somebody has any idea?

thanks
and best regards

oh thanks - i must load the plan on P3d... 🙂

The behavior of VOXATC is quite realistic with regard to what class of airport and what type of flightplan that you choose. It assumes that if you don't load a flightplan at all at a non-tower airport, that you just want to do either touch n goes/circuits or maybe just a local flight. If you load a VFR flightplan, you pretty much get everything that the airport offers as far as communications, but VOXATC assumes that you don't need a FO.  If you load an IFR flightplan, you get the option of a FO handling communications.

One option that I have never tried is a VFR flightplan that has the departure and arrival at the same airport. Maybe someone else here can say whether that works or not.

I have another question:

I get my clearance, but the SID is not known to me on the plane and the spelling of the SID strikes me as strange.

I usually know it like this: MALUN4D for example - but here he tells me DIEKENBUEHL 1D ..

I used the data from LEVEL-D and also recorded it in the settings.

best regards

vox does not phonetically spell the SID / STAR except the suffix .... in your example malun four delta.(not mike alpha lima etc.)

you could be assigned a different SID if the runway in use (atis) is not as expected and / or for a changed wind and / or there are 2 Sid's possible to the enroute fix in your plan.

for now, cheers

runway in use is heard on atis, then confirmed in taxi clearance....

assume you have filed / loaded a sim plan with a cruise altitude & enroute portion starting at top of sid at least ??

for now, cheers

It is the same as not filing a plan. As an alternative, I file a plan to a nearby airport, even for touch and goes, without traveling to the destination airport. When your done, just say, “last stop this time.”
