I know the MD-11 is a "legacy product" that PMDG is no longer selling, (altho you can purchase it elsewhere) but I decided to reinstall my FSX for 3 aircraft.  The PMDG MD-11, the LDS 767, and my FSLabs Concorde.  I am having a problem with FS2C setting the flaps on the MD-11 when getting ready to taxi out for takeoff.  This problem had shown up before I uninstalled FSX quite a while back but still seems to be present in my REINSTALL of FSX.  I've not messed with the key assignments in any way.  Heard anything like this before Bryan?

Usually flap problems in FS2Crew are the result of hardware over-riding FS2Crew's attempt to move the flaps.

Are you using any hardware that's connected to the flaps?

 

My throttle contol unit of course.  Controlled via FSUIPC.  It's just the INITIAL setting of 10 deg on both takeoff and landing that does not work.  Every other call setting does.  It's really really strange.

I too have re-installed FSX Gold(not -SE) to use this particular aircraft, and the Jetstream, and have issues whatsoever with the flap settings ,and am using v4 FSUIPC.
