April 18, 20206 yr Superb shots, Alan !! Can I ask you a question, most of us here have the Manfred Jahn freeware DC 3 and are happy with it. Is this one so much better? Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
April 18, 20206 yr Author In all honesty, whist it is a slightly more detailed model than the freeware DC-3, I think it is difficult to justify the price of it against the freebie one. If, like me, you have been obsessed with the DC-3 since you were a kid and would buy any DC-3 ever lol, you'll probably find that enough of a justification to spend the money, but otherwise, I'd wait for it to go in a sale some time. 72 Euros is a lot of money when there is a perfectly acceptable freebie one out there. Beyond that, part of why I do buy things like this one, is to encourage and support developers to make all these old bangers for our flight sims. As such, I tend to very often buy things which Aeroplane Heaven, Just Flight and Flight Replicas have made because, it keeps them making these older types. I live in hope that they'll make a Boeing 247 at some point. My house looks like a DC-3 museum in places. Only the other day I bought part of a WW2-era C-47's engine cowling to put on display. I can't wait to hear my girlfriend's opinion on that one when I attempt to put it up on the wall: 'Whaddya mean it's junk?! But, but, you don't understand Fifi, it's a classic piece of history...' 🤣 Edited April 18, 20206 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
