Hi there,

Can anyone please suggest a decent pay ware a330 for FSX-SE. I have tried blackbox and it less that ideal.

Thanks in advance!

What's wrong with the Blackbox? I like it. This in FSXSE.

For years I combined the 2D panel from Wilco's Airbus Evolution Vol. 2 (good panel but lousy visual model) with CLS A330 (good visual model but lousy panel).  Old school for sure but it worked well for me.  Those are for FSX boxed editions but should work with FSX-SE I would think.

Managed descent ( "vnav") is  messed up.  MCDU Calculated approach speeds are all wrong. If you try to land manually the plane stalls on you and you crash more often than not...

I use FSX-SE, and had to settle with this combination for the A330 and A340. I can confirm it works with no issues at all (except the WXR, that I never dared to use after a CTD I had). I prefer 2D panels, so that was not an issue for me. Now, I'd like to find a way to reduce the panel size a bit, in order to improve runway visibility.

Amazing thank you for your replies.

i know it’s not a a330 cockpit, but would merging my aerosoft a320 cockpit to the 330 be worth a shot on a CLS model?

Negative: the CLS models are FS9-native. Because of this, it's not possible to change the VC for the Aerosoft one. That's why, in this particular case, 2D is the way to go. Now, you could try changing gauge by gauge, and that would be another story. Good luck with that.
