May 12, 20206 yr I observed the same, interesting enough not in -600 and -700 but in at least the -800 (cannot recall if or not in the -900). AP would be enagaged at that time.
May 12, 20206 yr Commercial Member Well, if the autopilot is on, as the Pilot Flying, you are responsibly for the autopilot panel. You wouldn't ask the Pilot Mononitor/ Not Flying to set the MCP with the autopilot on. I recall though there's a config option to allow you to ask the FO to set the autopilot panel even with the AP on... Edited May 12, 20206 yr by byork B.
