I am not sure what is goin Forget the image for now. Let's check something else. See if you have a file called XMLtools.dll in your root FSX directory. BTW, if you had the box FSX installed when you installed FSX-SE, then the FSX-SE version is usually installed at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX . Al Edited May 11, 20206 yr by ark
May 11, 20206 yr Author Al, Steam is not installed in c/ program Files (x86... it is directly installed in a separate file in the main hard disk as C:/ Steam . I did a research in the file and I do not have the XMLtools.dll.
May 11, 20206 yr Author IU also did a research in the Program Files (x86) but i do not have this file too...
May 11, 20206 yr Author I googled about XMLTools and FSX ... it seems people has install problems with XMLTools.dll. They can install it in FSX and P3D4 , but not in FSX SE
May 11, 20206 yr Author I am also doing some research in the steam released notes and updates... i do not see a specific patch for XMLtools.dll. I have many other aircrafts payware adds-on from carenado ... flightsim labs, PMDG etc...no problem installing and running them
May 11, 20206 yr Author Sorry Al, I found the XMLtools.dll.file... It is correctly installed in C;/Steam/Steamapps/common/FSX. I do not why my preliminary research did not find it.... so it is in the Steam file

See https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/558321-steam-payload-manager-help/ which points out you need a XMLtools entry in your dll.xml file as well. Al

Without that the XMLtools file does not get used. Al Edited May 11, 20206 yr by ark
May 11, 20206 yr The XMLtools entry in the DLL.XML file should look something like this: <Launch.Addon> <Name>XMLTools</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>XMLTools.dll</Path> <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName> <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName> </Launch.Addon> Al
May 11, 20206 yr Author OK , I see that , I will edit the dll.xml with notepad as explained in the AVSIM instructions and I will test it keeping a copy of the original . Will come back with the results thanks Al for your help
May 11, 20206 yr Author Al, I did the modifications in the file dll.xml file exactly as posted in the AVISIM instructions...and saved the new dll.xml file edited with notepad a) Re started FSX SE...Positioned the plane in an airport. b) Configured all systems off with panel 1...Set -up Parking brakes.. c) In panel 2, activated one of the external power sources (green check) and activated the corresponding switches in the overhead panel + co-pilot external power buttons located in the passenger door. The Payload manager now has the orange readings in each windows. d) Finally in the payload manager activated the fuel truck (green check). I tried to enter new data in the payload manager....nothing happened....it is the same as described before...I cannot edit the payload manager Did I miss anything?. Mistery
