Recommended Posts

Hey Guys.  How is this working for everybody?  I have a very large pink surrounding block surrounding the airport when at altitude.  Anybody else?

Hi Shez,

Do you know what the current status for P3Dv4 and v5 support is for KPHL and KDTW airports?

Going by the Sunskyjet support forum there's a lot of folks trying to get their hands on the beta versions without much luck.

Thanks,

There is really nothing I can say about it right now. Check the latest DTW beta. If there is no fundamental change in the way V5 is rendering scenery it should work. I am happily snuggled in with my 4.5 so cannot test...🙂

thanks.  deleting the anim.bgl worked.  I thought I had done that in V4, but I guess not.  For me DTW and PHL are working just fine

@micstatic can you please provide the steps to make KDTW compatible with v5? I followed the instructions on the beta forum and still get bleeding textures on some taxiways and runways...

Also, did you get the blocky lights to work at night?

Appreciate the help!

🤨As I have said before the scenery is only compatible up to V4.5....let's not get sarcastic if I cannot help you beyond 4.5 as I don't even have V5 installed.

There are users who have made this scenery compatible with V5. It is up to you to find out how by doing some spade work.

I don't much see how resurrecting a thread that's been dormant for 16 months with a snarky remark helps, either, especially when the answer is already there four posts down from the one you replied to.

Shez is one of the two guys who created these freeware sceneries and gifted them to us, so I will suggest that he's been quite helpful enough already.

Shez, @micstatic has told me that DTW is working great in V5 with the latest beta and a bit of tweaking.   I’ll shoot you an email later today for the beta.  Also-thanks again for that Four Stacks Visual!  It was a heck of a ride in!
